Review: Maxim continues to batter the Death Drums with another skin-sizzling dark bass shock-out. Turbo-charged with a double-kick pummelling dancehall inspired rhythm, wrapped up in some rather toxic basses, Maxim provides the perfect amount of space for Cianna Blaze to wrap her venomous bars around. Gun fingers a-go-go, this bumps... And that's before we even get to Insideinfo's sci-fi shocker remix. Badness.
Review: Where do we go? Maxim and Kestra let rip with a rhetorical question to which we all know the answer: we go straight on the decks and we lay down the most energetic, skin-rippling emotional drum & bass we possibly can. Tapping into his rich rave roots while remaining fresh and full of fire, Maxim's causing serious damage both with Kestra's full vocal and the synth-snapping instrumental. All systems GO.
Review: Holy Death Drums! Maxim is not messing around right now. Tearing up the tail end of 2016 with some of his most savage D&B cuts ever "U Ready" takes a ragga stance on the messages he's delivered so far as the legendary Daddy Freddy spitting out rawness over some fine-tuned, turbo-charged spiked-out elements. For a more detailed look at Maxim's beats check the instrumental where the subtle reggae elements cut through with clarity. On point.
Review: You can take the man out of The Prodigy but you can't take The Prodigy out of the man. Maxim returns to Death Drum Rebel with two more crucial floor-flatteners that are entrenched with the same raw, distorted face-melting power he's always been synonymous with. "Revolution" is gritty and uncompromisingly abrasive with an edge that could complement neuro, crossbreed or Spor-style tech funk. "Unstoppable" fuses rock, reggae and rave with results so hype-scorched they could overthrow a tyrannical despot. Vive la revolution!
Review: The Prodigy's Maxim returns with an absolute powerhouse of a track on brand new label Death Drum Rebel. Flexing serious D&B muscles, there's a powerful late 2000s Chase & Status feel to the dynamics as the riff hurtles us beyond the fast lane. With added vocal textures bringing the elements together with subtle skank appeal, this ticks a lot of banger boxes. File under P for peaktime hellraising.
