Review: What a fantastic showing we have here as the ever-ready Arcane touches down on the awesome Defrostatica imprint for a top-notch four track roll through. We open up with the emotive vocal shimmers and high energy breaksy-shuffles of 'Above & Beyond', a high energy introduction that truly sets the tone nicely. From here, 'Rave Cadet' ups the energy level, diving into a realm of sweet sweet hardcore with vibrant jungle drum sweeps and old school chords, with 'For You' then diving into an even more intense moogfest, focusing on nothing but bass and drum. Finally, Yorobi delivers a beautiful rework of 'Above & Beyond' as his Dusk 2 Dawn mix gives us an ice-dripping overhaul, also acting as the perfect closer.

Review: Rave material with hardcore DNA from Vancouver's Greazus, on their brand new Phantasia EP for Leipzig, Germany's Defrostatica. This is the shared vision of two of the city's most renowned and prolific bass music ambassadors - HxdB & Patrik Cure. Get on your smiley face to the loved-up, back to '93 energy of "Phantasia", followed by "Wtf" that goes for more of a Detroit electro vibe with its strong Underground Resistance influence, and ending some rolling drama on the euphoric "Raverz" and its proto jungle vibe.

Review: The Defrostatica team have come together to unleash a fabulous display of modern juke-music here as they deliver 21 tracks of pure energy, showcasing the full spectrum of footwork across nearly 100 minutes of original sonic wizardry. From the euphoric, almost arpeggiated melodies of Jont1st's 'Pantone Suplex' and disruptive, industrial-like percussion of DJ YumYum's 'Antigene' to the more junglist inspired drum skips of Arcane's war-like 'Won't Deny' original, this project covers an insane amount of ground. There are a couple of clear highlights for us, the first of which has to be the ethereal vocal masterpiece that is Kiat's 'Transcribe', alongside the acidic drips of Sam Binga's 'Carbob' remix, originally coming from HomeSick. What a collection this is.
