Review: Fresh from releases on the mighty Disciple, Monstercat and Bassrush all in the last few months, super-versatile bass basher Aweminus lands on Bou's freshly recharged Diamond Audio with two brittle stinkers. "Lsdog" is all bite with its barking bassline and strange trippy textures while "Bass Bin Zombies" whips up more of a hornet's nest vibe with spiky basslines digging staccato needles into you while remaining as funk and wonky as possible. Review: Bou and Dutta's new imprint Diamond Audio has been pulling out all the shots the past year, its foundation directly off the back of Bou's increasing success in the scene. Unsurprisingly then, Version's new single is firmly in Bou's jump-up stylistic frame and bloody hell, it hits hard. 'Cisskill' is the glitchier of the two and crams in more of that same jump-up sound, with knifed up points and jagged edged all over the shop. It's a fat track and one designed for the dancefloor. 'New Delusions' is murkier and is in more of a Dispatch vein, with a seriously weighty back end and permanent sense of growling aggression all the way through. This is very, very heavy.

Review: Diamond Audio is a label whose music we regularly talk about and this single from Stranger has all the reasons why their jump-up sound is worth mentioning. This single isn't one for the liquid heads, those people who prefer their music gentle, delicate and crafted with a deft touch. This one is for those who don't mind if tunes are bit rough around the edges, as long as it's made up for in pure energy and a sense of reckless abandon. 'Game Face' does exactly that, with huge synth lines mirrored in percussion packed full of physicality and muscle. 'Nemesis' is equally devilish, with yet more huge basses and synths just tearing each other to bits.

A signature since the label's launch last year, this is their most supersized batch to date as it includes more fresh names and a full spectrum of underground styles; the footwork pace of Aesthetics opener "Questions", Bou's barking groaner "Frequencies", Jeopardize's matchless trippy funk stepper "Contemporary", Leaf's wonky woodblock knocks and freaky funk on "Watch It" and MelloDrama's hospitalizing space stepper "Thrill" are just some of the many album highlights. Review: What a label Diamond Audio is shaping up to be. Four releases deep and they're already two albums and two massive EPs deep. Just look at the tracklist and you know we're right on the forefront of nex-gen drum & bass. Bou, T>I, Klay, Aweminus, Rawtee, Version... The list of hotly tipped future headliners here is impressive. Highlights include T>I's sweary stepper "Pull Up", Klay's radio-melting trip-out "Clap Back", Aweminus's gamey retro pacer "It's Ok", Rawtee's hornets nest bass and barbed soul on "Searchin'" and Version's cascading kicks and harrowed bass on "Facades". 10 diamonds in the rough... These will last forever.

Review: We are huge fans of Kenji, he's been producing some real jump up bangers, which still have a sense of musicality to them, which we all know is not a common theme. There's so much to love about 'Get Down' the background high pitched buzz, similar to something 'Tyke' would pull out of his hat is set against a sub which sounds like it is floating and decorated with wizzes and pops, the track is pure twisted magic. 'Al Capone' comes to us courtesy of Kenji & Bou, with a similar floating vibe to the bass accompanied by clicky and bleeping beats, this is another one for the floor.
