Review: Following on from a very impressive run of drops from the Dirty Beats team, we see them welcome in the sounds of Tik&Borrow, a production duo who continue to impress across whatever genre they find themselves inhabiting. This project kicks off with the title track 'Umans', which fuses together squelching, swamp-like bass sounds with alien atmospherics to deliver a subby punch from the off, followed by incredibly grizzly synthesizer slides of 'Bruk' and twisted aquatic rhythms of 'Forms'. Finally, Ramsez steps up for a glitchy rework of 'Umans', somehow giving the track an even more haunted feel that before!
Review: Dirty Beats deliver an absolute gem with this one next as they welcome both Seismic and DMG Coda for a vibrant selection of dubstep originals and remixes, kicking off with DMG's glitchy compositional expanse within 'Four Days', a very creative piece of 140 music. From here, Seismic gets involved on VIP duty for 'Four Days', giving the track a much more haunted feel, before the pair combine on the eastern string plucks and sliding 808 basslines of 'Human Debris'. Finally, we see Seismic land on solo duty with 'Oh Dear', a sub-heavy snarling masterpiece of dubstep creation, allowing it's weighty low-end space to manoeuvre whilst adding rhythmic expression through crunchy percussive additions left, right and centre.
Review: It's always exciting to see new music land from the Dirty Beats Music team, who here employ the vibrant stylings of B-Say across four tracks of potent steppers heat. We begin our exploration with the grizzly bass designs and constantly evolving landscape of the title track 'The Pact', before then moving into the wonky percussive expressions and unusual synthesis of 'Parlotear'. Next, Mungk joins the party as more percussive leads are deployed within 'Maleficium', which combines multiple rhythmic lines with subtle yet spooky chord expansions and low sub melodies, before Hitman steps up with huge warbling rethink of 'The Pact' to round off proceedings.
Review: We are extremely excited to get into this one as Volume A & Section 8 team up for a dubstep-inspired party, kicking off with eastern melodies and gnarly, growling synthesizer work of Volume A's 'Stuck Inside'. This is followed by the spacey tones and expansive atmospheric layers of Section 8's aptly named 'Hubble', before the pair join forces on 'Psychosis', another grizzly roller. Finally, the pair work together again on 'Scared', which through it's unique drum designs and engulfing sub expansions, puts the cherry on the cake for this EP with Dirty Beats Music.
