Review: A third release in three years from Aeva is proving the artist to be some kind of genre chameleon with an uncanny ability to flip a future sound of house, techno, bass and club music on its head. To be appreciated on a level alongside what we've heard from Livity Sound of the past and some of the more daring club music coming out of France right now, Aeva's freshest drop for Don't Delay turns in two cross-pollinating cuts of higher tempos and bright colours. Penetrating kick drums punctuate the speedy and frenetic stynths and vocal stabs of "Spirit Dragon" while "Kitten" turns in a bleep styled number of deeper, UK-inspired basslines, rave, trance and other euphoric absurdities.
