Review: Hailing from Slovenia and Brazil, it comes as no surprise that WD2N's sound is hard to pin down. "Black Cat" sees the duo lay down a shuffling, rickety groove, powered by metallic drums. They don't stop there however, and the eerie synth lines and chiming bells that inhabit the arrangement could easily have come from Efdemin's studio. The mood alters drastically on "Maribor". There, a grinding, buzzsaw bass takes centre stage. Supported by firing percussion and churning chords, it marks a radically different approach to "Black Cat" - and shows that just like their background, WD2N's music is defined by its diversity.
