No Mans Land (feat Brotha Hifi - Brotha HiFi dub mix) - (4:10) 63 BPM
Review: The Dub Communication crew have consistently impressed us with their new school take of dub reggae flavour, pushing the boundaries at all times, without losing their connection to the roots of the sound. They welcome Smalltowndubz for a potent 5 track display, opening up with the charming chord progressions and tasteful saxophone sweeps of 'Through The Valley' alongside Sabolious, with the more urgent drum bounces of 'Acid Steps' following in rapid pursuit to keep the energy levels high. We then jump into 'Peacefull', a much slower twist through distant delays and marching drum textures, followed by the otherworldly synthetic arrangements and drum bops of 'Cosmic Space'. We then close with a killer collaboration as 'No Man's Land' welcomes Brotha Hifi for a spacey send off, giving us one final stomper to round off the EP out in style!

Review: Another winner for the Dub Communication crew appears to have landed as they welcome back the wonderfully consistent Frenk Dublin, one of the leading lights in future dub music across the world right now. He is joined by the ever ready Tenor Youthman for 'Fire Just A Shot', a fabulous new single exploring the deeper ends of the dub music spectrum, focussing on heavy delays and moody basslines below for a seriously weighty new weapon. The project also comes complete with three official remixes, with Om Unit stepping up first for a shaker-induced rhythmic overhaul, packed to the brim with original flavour. Next, Smalltowndubz give the track an even spookier feel as we are greeted by squelching chords and spacey synth lines, before Masis unleashes a steady dub march of a remix, focussing on 4x4 drum struts and and even spacier backdrop. Tasty!

Review: It's always a great pleasure to see the legendary Frenk Dublin making his return to Dub Communication, as he this time arrives with a full length 10 track album drop, dripping in original dubwise flavour and futuristic production techniques. Frenk Dublin is a master in his field, a truth we hear displayed across the full breadth of this collection, from the moody chord shifts and dubby fx of 'Divide & Rule', to the post-tech drum rolls and stuttering synthetics of 'Tranquility' and shimmering pad textures of 'Geo'. The whole project is a sonic journey from start to finish, that simply must be listened to in a long play format to be able to grasp the magnitude of spaciness that we are able to delve into. Our highlights include the skippy rhythms and bubbling synthesizer runs of 'Ace', next to the more tech inspired maneuvers of 'The Expansion', showing Frenk's versatility is not to be played with!

Dropin (dub Troubles remix) - (4:38) 115 BPM
Travelling (Stillhead remix) - (5:17) 62 BPM
Review: As soon as we saw that Dub Communication were launching a remix EP for Mystic Fyah's epic 'Dynamite' project, we jumped for joy, even higher once discovering the involved roster. We kick off in typically mind-boggling style as Frenk Dublin delivers a shimmering rethink of 'Righteous', giving those silky vocals and even spacier feel, coupled with some gorgeous chord work. Next, a much more electronic recreation of 'Travelling' from SmallTownDubz, a creeping, pluck-driven overhaul of 'Nebula' from Skruff and the digital march that is born within dub Troubles' rethink of 'Dropin', all offering a different digital perspective on the original EP. Finally, Stillhead arrives for a second bite at 'Travelling', this time delivering an almost himalayan-sounding overhaul, focussing on heavily reverberated chants and spacey textures for a perfect round off.

The Illuminated - "Revolution" (feat Vale - original mix) - (4:51) 60 BPM Hot
Blind Prophet - "Hugh Dub" (The Illuminated remix) - (4:12) 60 BPM
Review: Keeping their track record intact for the Dub Communication label outta Rotterdam is local duo The Illuminated who send in a cool & toasty riddim in "The Illuminated" featuring Berlin trumpeter Vale Schwarzbeck righteously on horns. Golden 120BPM stepper! A much sought after 7" now gone digital, ZamZam Sounds alumni Blind Prophet is given 'The Illuminated' remix treatment with a previously unreleased version of "Hugh Dub" first found in its original form on Dub Communication circa 2018 - mad asiatic vibes.

Still Dub EP
Dischord - (4:18) 61 BPM
Still Dub - (5:14) 63 BPM
Azalea - (4:24) 120 BPM Hot
Aksu - (5:26) 60 BPM
Review: Dub Communication originator Frenk Dublin returns to his best known frequency in the Still Dub EP with four tracks that blur at the edges of what's techno and what's dub. For the harder edged dub fans out there it's all about "Aksu" and "Azalea" with some gritty, heavy and deep vibes - given a silky groove by the former while a thin layer of distortion coats the latter. Spacious and downbeat, "Dischord" wobbles with an almighty tremolo, subtle drum fills and delayed synth stabs with the title track offering something of murderous, cavernous flow rivalled only by the likes of Deadbeat. Dub heads unite!

Cascade One EP
Soundcraft - (5:00) 65 BPM Hot
Cascade One - (4:25) 120 BPM
Bluesky Dub - (4:39) 114 BPM
Review: We have come to expect wonders from Frenk Dublic, a producer who continues to set the bar higher with every single release. This latest three track collection is a fabulous gift from the Dub Communication crew, seeing Frenk deploy a set of high energy dub-style weapons, kicking off with the jumpy chord designs and marching drum structures of 'Soundcraft', a tune we literally cannot wait to hear on a full blown system. Next, the title track 'Cascade One' arrives in style, again pulling ideas from Frenk's clear dub influences to create a sizzling piece of system mastery, driven by yet more creative percussive expression and distant melodica lines. Finally, 'Bluesky Dub' sees us really switch up the flavours with a much slower jig, allowing much more room for expansive basslines and floating delays to run riot. Yet another expertly crafted selection from the man of the moment!

Review: It's quite mad to watch Dub Communications run of releases over the last 12 months, with their catalogue constantly growing in quality and variation. This latest project from Small Town Dubz boasts everything the label is all about, kicking off with the chanted toasting vocals of Rumble B over the slow marches of 'Soundman A Play', which also comes complete with an official dub version. We then check out more war-ready drum designs as the distorted bass leads and haunting background textures of 'Sultans Cave' are deployed, before the more system ready drum bounces of 'Warrior Flute' are brought through to put the finishing touches on a very interesting body of work.

2020 Dub - (3:44) 140 BPM
Review: Dub Communication have been on a pretty saucy run of late, constantly delivering top quality reggae-inspired dubstep creations, breathing some fresh air into a crowded scene. This time around,.they invite Imanzi inside for an incredibly vibrant two tracker, kicking off with the marching drumwork and pulsating bass tones of 'Tumunyana'. On the flip, we encounter a more stripped back approach on '2020 Dub', another spacious roller, this time pushed forward by subtle percussive compositions and sweeping atmospheric layers. Very tasty indeed.

Review: Dub Communication are a label we feel should be celebrated as we move into a brand new decade, with their original dubwise roots proving more relevant than ever in a crowded electronic market place. They here employ the vibrant sounds of Frenk Dublin, who kicks us off with the constantly evolving composition of 'On Di Riddim' before we dive into 'Corruption', a softer, more free-flowing reggae arrangement. Next, it's time to throw on your marching boots as the potent rhythms and engaging chord progressions of the title track 'Me See Fire' lead us forward, before finishing up with the system-ready sub rolls of 'Plastik Dub'. What a way to finish off the year!

Review: Following dubstep's revival, we are finding a lot of producers leaping at the opportunity to express themselves within the original digital dub stylee, a theme that Dub Communication have been overseeing with masterful precision. They here unveil a tasty new six track selection, seeing Dubothesis cut the cord on the eerie reverberations of 'King Selassie Calling', followed by the mindful drum marches of Haji Sound's 'Herbal Smoke' and the more system-inspired 'Kosmos Dub' from Mystic Fyah'. From here we stroll into the incredible dubwise atmosphere of Skruff's 'Bad Dub', chased up by the more digi-dub themes of 'Moonrocks' from SmallTown Dubz before 3Voice and Wosui conclude the tracklisting with the delicious sound design of 'Night Light Dub', featuring additional work from Cynic Al.

Review: It's always a pleasure to see a new drop from the Dub Communication team, a label who continues to excel with top quality releases, this time bringing forward Drisan for some tasty dubwise delights. First of all we explore the colourful, pleasing compositional structures of 'Supplementary Dub', a groovy 4x4 roller packed with organic bassy energy and smooth rhythmic expansions. On the flip side we then dip into the super spacey 'Perception Dub', which plays out very much along the lines of a film soundtrack, swimming in incredibly lushious synth pads, making this one an absolute delight.

Review: Well, it seems that Dub Communication have once again outdone themselves here as they welcome in the futuristic dubwise delights of Mungk, who touches down for a fantastic two track piece. We look firstly at 'Iowaksa Dub', which combines subtle, eastern inspired melodies and harmonies over dubwise drum structures and marching rhythms to create something mystic and wonderful. On the flip side we are introduced to 'Scorching Dub', which takes on a much more typical steppers approach, packed with dubbed out horns and colourful chord progressions to add a really nice contrast to the A-side.

Review: Moscow's Champion Sound gang make their debut on Frenk Dublin's Dub Communication with an all-out warning. System-tailored, warmer than a cuppa in the midday sun, bouncier than a bag of rubber balls and laced with soothing vocals buried deep in the mix, its summer arrival couldn't have landed at a better time. Remix-wise Halcyonic and G Roots bring horn player Vale into the mix for more of a Latin-lashed stepper twist while the label bossman brings us home on a stately deep dub swagger. Three killer jams in their own right, DC aren't messing around here. Champion.

He here presents two brand new scorchers courtesy of Dub Communication, kicking off with the slow rolling chord movements and potent sub structures of 'Lightning Strike', a masterpiece in new school dub music. On the flip side we are giving a more high energy march as 'Thunder Roll' storms into view with subtle, horn like melodic structures and bouncy drum rhythms, perfect for energizing the dance.

Review: Following on from his well received appearances with Dub Communication, Meas gives the label his blessing to run forward with three brand new remix projects from 'Singers & Prayers', starting of with a slow rolling dubwise rethink of the title track itself. Next, it gets seriously aquatic as dub Troubles knit together a very creative rethink of 'Aloof', bristling with swampy rhythms and lo-fi textures. Finally, Frenk Dublin gets back to business with a very forward thinking overhaul of 'Above Ground', reworking the original into a spacey 4/4 roller, patterned with expansive chord progressions and expanding filters.

Review: When exploring the vast expanse of dub music, it's important to nail an individual sound, or be lost in the sauce abruptly. George Palmer and Dub Troubles have most certainly found their sound, but here invite Masis and Frenk Dublin in for a pair of scorching remixes of 'Realise', courtesy of the team at Dub Communication. To begin with, Masis gets busy with a super slowed down creation, bringing a whole new set of energies to the original, with Frenk Dublin taking a more classic dubwise approach, packing the track full of powerful one drop drums and spacious delays.

Review: You can always count on the super consistent Dub Communication to supply us with some fresh dubwise treats. This project sees them bring forward the combined stylings of Frenk Dublin and Clinton Sly for two tracks of pure flavour. We begin with the softened syncopated chord structures and unpredictable delay movements of the title track 'Good Vibes We Bring', before diving into the dubwise version. This one goes by the name of 'Dub Them Good Vibes' offering the compositional structure up in a completely different light, focussing more so on spacious effects and potent sub bass pressure.

Review: There are few things more enjoyable than getting stuck into a brand new future dubwise release, which is why we are so excited to present you all with this recent four track creation from Frenk Dublin, courtesy of Dub Communication. We begin our journey of this EP with a deep plunge into the amphibious reverberations of 'Express Yourself', before saltering blissfully into the groovy melodica stabs of 'Tell Them'. Next, 'About My Sound' steps up the pace with a more intense drumline, before we finish off a solid body of work with the expressive sounds of the title track 'Radikalism', a composition bursting with dubwise delights and unpredictable delays.

Singers & Players - (5:04) 55 BPM Hot
Aloof - (5:48) 110 BPM
Above Ground - (4:21) 110 BPM
Review: Here's a release for those who want to hear dub techno with a difference: Masis starts off Singers & Players with the gloriously evocative, slow-burning reggae title track, which features plaintive vocals hovering seductively in the smoky ether. It's reminiscent of Rhythm & Sound at their most introspective. "Aloof" is more dance floor-focused and sees a stepping rhythm support dub shanties that build and ebb gently. Rounding off the release is "Above Ground". Like "Aloof", it is focused on the floor, but its deep beats are more immersive and the overall effect is akin to being immersed in a warm bath.

Review: We were very excited to see Rotterdam based techno-dub outfit: Dub Communication kick off the year in style with their sixth official digital release alongside Masis. This EP is a fantastic showcase of where electronic dub music is currently at. Masis works the background space beautifully across both tracks, with 'Alla Dem Dub' focussing on the slow march and eerie atmospherics and 'Unearthed Dub' traversing the expanse of space above the subs. On remix duty, Frenk Dublin manages to expand the depth of 'Unearthed Dub' even further with his bass heavy rework.

Review: Despite his name, Dublin is not an Irish producer, but comes from Rotterdam. He was previously behind the Dubstep Rotterdam label and now is launching a new label, Dub Communication. Like his previous venture, the clue to the style is in the title and "Verseput" is a floaty, ethereal techno groove. On "Dichtheid", Dublin mines the influence of Rhythm & Sound with toasted chords shot through with buzzing riffs over a dance hall groove. The "160" version offers a more abstract take on the same track, while confusingly, the "Experimental" version is the most dance-floor friendly take and sees Dublin deliver an understated, pulsing groove.
