Review: Guv's Dubz Audio gets Latte reloading his big guns again with this turbulent slab of electrical friction. Highly sprung with a tightly coiled riff that leaps around all over the groove, there's a strong sense of dizzy funk and dancefloor carnage as Latte brews up mischievous funk that slaps but soothes in equal measure. Review: Jaydan has become firmly entrenched within the new school of jump-up, his dirty tones being present at raves up and down the UK as well as across the channel. This single does things right - kicking off with 'Wind It Up' - which is just pure attitude encapsulated in a 170 beat and some basses. 'It' is a lighter note to finish on, a recognizable sample flung out over a luscious backdrop of wispy pads that gradually escalates into something a tad darker. A quality single with lots of variety.

Review: Dilate's back with more of his nutty designs. Once again, like his previous Dubz Audio release late last year, it's grottier than a night out with a bunch of weightlifters on white cider. Twisted, heavy, face screwing but madly addictive; both cuts here blaze with strong singalong riffs that will rattle around your brain for days with all their metallic swampy charm. "Velocity" hits more of a rasping laser lick while "Takeoff" is all about the soggy wet riff. Both absolutely annihilate.

Review: Rumour has it if you look into the mirror and say "Profile & Sub Killaz" 500 times both acts will appear behind you and lay down a brutal b2b set of obscene proportions. Failing that you can always just jump on these two crucial bass bullets; "Candy Man" has a bee swarm bassline that hovers menacingly right above your head, pranging the dickens out of you with every move you make. "One Love" continues to flex grunt muscles but with added soul power from a classic rave vocal sample.

Review: Dilate returns to Guv's Dubz Audio with two dead cert shoe-off scenarios: "Spread Terror" is all about the rubber-ball bass and ricochet lasers as we're flung, sprung and bunged from wall to wall on wheels made of swaggering triplets. "Fruitloop VIP" sees the London artist returning to his last Dubz original and really rolling out the warm, buzzy, subby bassline with big-tease results. A fine spread.

Review: One for the Heds... Cambridgeshire's Hedex returns to Guv's Dub with two almighty crowd-bumpers. "Orange" is every bit as zesty as you'd hope; the nasty, teeth-baring harmonic riff carries a strangely uplifting melody before dropping into breakdown of pure trance euphoria. "Smokers" is more to-the-point thanks to its grunting bass riff, sweeping drum elements and techno-like aesthetics in mid-section. Smoking.

Review: Hype's go-to banger dealer in recent times, Guv lives up to his name once again with this thundering gully quartet: "Angles" spits with a refreshing bass texture that's unlike anything being used right now, "Survival" takes the riff to a higher end of the spectrum with a strangely timed vocal sample and sudden drops into manic sci-fi speedway licks. "Execution" is as ruthless as its title suggests while "Chopper VIP" twists up the mentalist riff from last year's tried and tested smasher. Work the angles.

Review: Frequently flexing around A.M.C's signature Titan sound (but not afraid of a little liquid soul when the time is right) Dub Motion reminds us who's boss with two more muscular peaktimers. All riff and iron trousers, "It Can Hurt You" is a real barnstorm banger with jump-up energy but techy weight. "Into The Dark" takes a deeper route with evocative synth arpeggios, a breathy vocal but equal gravity in the drums and low end. Two sides to one very heavy coin, Dub Motion's currency is high right now.

Review: Guv's Dubz Audio imprint goes from the strength to strength, consistently identifying the originators in an increasingly cluttered market. "DAPVA" is the label's first v/a collection, featuring one of the label's most consistent artists (Hedex) and three label debuts from men who need no introduction. Hedex is all about the heavily coded funk in the riff, Dilate conjures up a cool subby roller with added industrial strength percussion while Ironlong brings the one-note riff hype in a similar way to Tyke or Hazard. Finally, K Motionz closes the show with some subversive drama as the build craftily teases into a hair-raising drop you'd never expect. Damagement.

Review: Take a glance at the SoundCloud page for UK producer and DJ, Turno, and you'll see glowing testimonies from the likes of Majistrate and Nicky Blackmarket. And with good reason too, as Turno has put in the studio hours resulting in a wealth of music for Higher Stakes, Serial Killaz, Sweet Tooth Recordings and more these past few years. Dubz Audio belongs amongst this clutch too, and Turno's return to the label arrives with a brutal VIP take on his 2014 rinse down "The Iceman". Evil enough in original form, this 2016 edition officially upgrades "The Iceman" to screwface factor 10. Complementing this, Turno teams up with Dreps for the razor sharp "Team Drums," which has instant classic written all over it.

Review: Handle "Caution" with caution: Hedex returns to Guv's Dubz Audio with two more soul-snapping sample-subverting bass blazers. After a hype-heaving intro, "Caution" drops into a twisted croaky bass drop that's kind of reminiscent of "Diplodocus"... The rest is history. "Don't Stop" has a similarly savage bass attack but much lower in the tone and timbre department and a sprinkling of sprightly synths for good measure.

Review: Disgusting convulsions spew out of this EP from the outset, as title track "Forever" rips its bassline to shreds and disassembles the gutted pieces. Strictly for the twisted out there, the sheer level of sample manipulation at work here is mind-bending. Pushing the boundaries of jump-up with this release, Hedex has opened the floodgates for producers who are getting the feeling things are a little too soft out there in the underground. Makes sense - if a little bit is good, more should be amazing, right?
