Review: Uun delivers the seventh release on his Ego Death label. "Atrahasis" is a hypnotic, heads-down workout. Led by a tunnelling groove and a cacophony of tones, it is reminiscent of vintage Mike Parker. "Double Aspect" sees him go farther down this wormhole, guided by dark tonal sequences and a driving rhythm. "You Can't Have Both" marks a shift in style. Inspired by Detroit techno, Uun combines insistent claps and a driving rhythm with dreamy pads. "Sight Unseen" continues in this vein, as he fuses atmospheric synths with acid lines over a rolling groove. In stark contrast, "The Upside of Losing Everything" is a murky, bass-heavy stepper, and "Ouroboros" channels similar energy, applying it to a dark synth-led arrangement.
