Review: Emerald & Doreen are an eccentric German collective (the name is something to do with street slang for extremely glamorous women, or so they claim), all dedicated to the more stylish end of nu-disco. Here they give a long player from Diligo, which also includes a few cheeky remixes too. There are 14 tracks in which the listener can get lost and they cover the gambit of quality electro-disco. Our faves include the melancholic Italo electro-pop of "Life Straps" and its punchier, lushed-out rework by Ullapul and the David August-style evocative smooch-house of "Love My World". Classy!
