Review: A collection of talent comes together here to bring us the wonderful vision that is Ahucatl: Intelligent Music on the Empathy Digital label. First up is the trembling rhythms and tantalizing aurora created by Gnomes of Kush, "Winter Morning Dub". Elsewhere we have the sparse, dubbed out sounds of Brujo's Bowl's "Srong Crops", followed up by the curious warping sounds of Lunar Sound's "Light Is A Voice". Next is the surreal "Storyteller" with its aggressive dubstep-inspired soundscape, then cuts from Kaminanda and Mr Bill which continue to weave the narrative. Infamous' "Smack Down" adds some further quirkiness before "Funky Robotz" hits back with futuristic distortions a-plenty and then Grouch's "Trash Mouth" concludes the EP.
