Review: Next up on Encrypted Audio, a hard hitting five track collection from Jaswan and a host of friends, diving deeper and darker into the dubstep sound with every twist and turn. We begin with 'The Cartel', a luscious soundscape, rippling with electronic mastery and tidy atmospheric pressure, before Sadinoki arrives on 'HICHIRIKI' for an abstract skip through hard hitting drum smashes and sweeping pad textures to match. The party then welcomes Basura to the table as 'Warning' stitches together glittering melodic twinkles with gut-busting kick punches, leading towards a serious system wriggler of a drop, with Substance then arriving in close pursuit across the alien sounding sonic landscaping of 'Metalhead'. Finally, 'Turn The Key' sends us down an avenue of pure abandon, letting loose a devastating barrage of distorted bass delights, giving the project a seriously crunchy closing number.

Review: It's always exciting to see new music unveiled from the Encrypted Audio team, who have continuously pushed top quality dubstep music out on a very regular basis. This time around they welcome the sizzling steppers designs of Argo, who opens up with the creepy soundscapes and dripping percussive magnificence of 'Finesse Shot', which sets the pace very nicely, soaked in unpredictable rhythmic ideas. On the flip, more stunning sound design as 'It Does Go On' links together emotive string sweeps and choppy drum arrangements with moody subs and crunchy snare slaps for a much more alternative B-side. Lovely work!

Review: There are a few labels in and around the dubstep world that almost guarantee heaters with every release. It's safe to say that Encrypted Audio is one of those projects, with this system-rattling collection from DubApe proving to be super powerful. First up 'Ramsez' gets involved for some potent subby goodness on 'Doc Pullem', a fiery collaboration to kick off proceedings in style, followed by the metallic percussion-lead designs of 'Thumpa', which quickly descends into a box of syncopated glitchy madness. From here, two solo appearances to round things off, with 'Millions' firstly bringing a much spacier feel, focussing on shuffling drums and flickering melodic warbles, with the big room horn stabs and gnarly LFO grinds of 'Woob' then rounding off the project with a splash. Excellent work!

Review: Hypho is on absolute fire right now, with an explosive string of releases under his belt across the last 12 months and a move to the US underway, it's all stations go. This latest drop sees him explore his dubstep-inspired roots, firstly with the demonic choir backdrops and heavily delayed drum-racks of 'Higher Calibre', which hits the spot perfectly for an EP opener. Next, the plucked melodic switch ups and colourful harmonic layers of 'Soft Like Glue' give the EP a more delicate feel, showcasing the emotional side of his production arsenal. Finally, Hypho & Mythm join forces for the glitchy melodic overlays and downright dizzying synth assaults of 'The Plug', which gives us a gritty finale to enjoy. Lovely work!

Review: Next up from Encrypted Audio, something a little different as Jaswan arrives for an all out display of electronic madness, with the introductory recording 'Hiya' exploring numerous electro themes, with bouncy synth spikes and demonic vocal slides leading the way on this wonky masterclass. From here, a major switch up into the shuffling drum stutterers and floating atmospheric textures of 'Gas Lighter', once again unleashing a vibrant display, before 'Exoplanet' returns to the earth with a monstrous combo of lethal reese action and scattered half-time rhythm. We then round off with the much more unusual approach of 'Cumin', again defying the normal realms of dubstep that Encrypted releases tend to inhabit, working together haunted vocals and super-crunchy drum slaps for a wild finale.

Review: Once again it looks like the Encrypted team have arrived with another slice of delicious dubstep action, this time welcoming Manta to the table for a sizzling three-track display. We kick off with a vibrant combination of grizzly LFO manoeuvres and organic sound drum slaps in 'Powertrip', giving us an immediate feeling of sonic uniqueness. Next up, we find ourselves in-tune to some 80's style power moogs and more hypnotic synth designs in 'Creepin', before 'Witchfinder' strips it back even further for a gnarly dungeon-esc roller, putting the finishing touches onto a very tidy little three-tracker from all involved.

Review: There is a lot to be said for the incredible levels of consistency being shown by the Encrypted Audio team and this latest three track delight from S0LID is yet another showcasing of that, exploring the darker side of dubstep with some serious finesse. We begin with 'Blind Spot' a sub-heavy submarine ride through aquatic percussion and deep sub-waves, fluttering between gnarly LFO's and haunted melodic twists, before the oldschool wobbly bass-tones of 'Grudge' give us something with a much more throwback feel. Finally, the party completely switches as 'Escape' unveils a shivering half-time extravaganza, moving between fluid basslines and acidic jitters, rounding us off with a dash of mystery.

Review: If you are ever having a bad day, you can always rely on a new drop from Encrypted Audio to turn your mood around, with this sizzling new four track selection from Ducker being a great example. We begin with 'Imposter', a certified system-ready slap, buzzing with electronic bass prickles and hypnotic vocal textures, before 'Report A Crash' unleashes a tirade of monstrous drum stomps and alarm-like synth action to switch the pace dramatically. Next, your sub-speakers are in for a real ride as 'The Light' deploys a lethal display of low-ended mastery, topped with floating soundscapes and spacey drum textures before 'Vertical Vengeance' takes us down a swampy road for a bass-fueled finale.

Review: There really does seem to be no stopping the current Encrypted Audio run, as they continue on their breathtaking run of original dubstep releases with this powerful new three track expanse from Kodama. As always, Kodama pushes the boat out in as many ways as possible, kicking off with the haunted, spacey pads and charming harmonic flutters of 'Westly', which despite its delicate drum design approach still packs one hell of a punch. From here, the melodic vibes continue in abundance as 'Murphy's Song' unleashes a fabulous display of arpeggiated string plucks, all before 'Glimpse' switches the flavour into a more garage influenced approach, combining skippy rhythms with dripping percussion and chiming melodies for a fire finale.

Review: The Encrypted Audio team are one of the most consistent out there when it comes to new school dubstep label projects, with this new three track delight from Koma being a perfect example of that constant high level being maintained. We begin with the super grizzly drum crunches and stripped back yet extremely potent subwork of 'Dialtone', giving us a boost from the off, followed by the stuttered rhythms and beautiful soundscaping work of 'Flick' which really does take the project to a whole new level. Finally, 'Untitled' provides us with a gloomy outro track, linking together unpredictable reesey tones with clunky percussive powerdrives, putting the finishing touches on a masterfully produced bag of delights.

Review: It really is hard to find words that hold Encrypted Audio is as high enough of a position of praise as we feel they deserve of late. Their catalogue just keeps getting better, with this latest four track delight being yet another bag of bombshells. We begin firstly with a dive into 'Untitled', a weird yet wonderful warbling behemoth of a stepper alongside 'Grawinke; before 'Manufacturing Defect' links together sweeping synthetic clumps and super groovy rhythmic arrangements. The party takes a much more experimental tone next as the epic arpeggiator drills and Edwardian string samples of 'Warning' alongside Scooped leap into action, closely followed by a killer closer in 'Sourdough', a closer that sees both DubApe and Xakra display their love for the darker side of steppers music. Excellent work.

Review: The bar is constantly being raised by the Encrypted Audio team, a feat they seem to have achieved once again with this spicy new selection from Ekula. We kick off our dive into this one with a look at 'Meadows' a UK funky & breaksy hybrid, focussing on interesting rhythmic movements and warbling basslines, before the glitchy melodics and distant vocals of 'Speech' steer the ship in a different direction. Following this, 'Dancehall Filla' sees Natty Campbell get involved with some hard hitting vocals over some classic horn riff action, before rounding off with 'Dance Again', a crunchy roller, constantly exploring new areas of rhythm and groove through it's unique use of percussion.

Review: All across the breadth of 2020 we were very happily singing the praises of Encrypted Audio, who despite all the carnage worldwide were able to maintain a very consistent run of releases. They kick off 2021 in an ethereal bag as Chendah unleashes four tracks of melodic fire, kicking off with the spacey melodic structures and delayed chord lines of 'Emulged', followed by the beautiful, dusty soundscaping of 'Homee'. The project then takes a slightly darker turn next as 'Kibb' gives us some serious low end pressure, alongside some charming percussive clinks, before 'Sear' gives us a sumptuous eastern inspired outro track, putting the final touches on a very well thought out body of work.

Review: The Encrypted Audio team have delivered a real gem of a release with this one as they welcome the sounds of Mungk in for a dubwise delight, launching his band new 'Warrior Dance' single with some cracking remixes. The original mix of the tune is a proper system stomper, driven forward primarily by it's marching drum designs and ska-like chord syncopations, making it a perfect turn up tune for the dance. We have also been given some top quality remix action as Ourman firstly gives the track a more emotive half-time facelift, followed by Imanzi's spaced out system-ready relick. We kick off with the spooky melodic twists and sharpened drum slaps of 'Yu'll Do Nuttin', which sets the tone perfectly for the rest of the EP with it's hard-hitting rhythmic design. From here, we dive into 'Village Eejit', a sub-heavy warbler that would cause damage on any system with its minimal structure and explosive low ends. Review: It's back to Encrypted Audio we go as we take a dive into their latest four track selection from Murk and Shiva, a German dubstep link up set to cause some serious damage in the dance. We kick off with the stunning soundscaping work of 'Cluster' which combines scuffed rhythmic elements with spooky pads for a wicked introduction. This is then followed by the chiming percussive genius of 'Ma Key' and engulfing sub designs of 'Upside Down', before we find ourselves maneuvering through 'Visage', a swampy bass bin cruncher, top with sparse vocal slices for that additional dash of colour. If we could describe this one in one word, it would be "potent".

Review: We want to start off by acknowledging just how heavyweight a combination this as the combined styles of Glume & Phossa touch down on the incredibly consistent Encrypted Audio for three more incredible creations, kicking off with crunchy drum curls and gnarly bass drives of 'Bat Country'. Following this, we start to explore further into the more melodic side of the duo as 'Yucatan' arrives with a bag of incredible tight drum processing and haunting atmospheric design, before 'Apogee' provides us with a more introspective original, led by shimmering chord expressions and spooky melodic structures. They just keep getting better and better!

Review: As we move further into the new decade, we are thrilled to see that the Encrypted Audio team are continuing to keep up the pace, as they welcome one of 2019's standout producers: Cartridge. He kicks off this powerful four track collection with the colourful melodies and smooth grooves of 'Daffodils In February', followed by the incredibly gnarly tones of 'Isham'. Next, eastern patterns are combined with scratchy drums on 'Riot' with excellent results, alongside the final track 'Stubble', which uses chiming melodies and swirling sub textures to round us off nicely. Tidy work!

Review: Encrypted Audio are kicking off a new decade with some serious style here as they invite the incredibly creative sounds of Rygby in for a three track bonanza. We kick off with the frankly stunning melodic synth manoeuvres and warbling LFO patterns of 'Janksy', before the trap-style drums and sharp, pulsating 808 subs of 'Twinkle Toez' follow up closely. Finally, we return to more Rybgy rhythmic genius as we take in 'Deadliest Force', another almost eskimo inspired composition, complete with popping drum arrangements and a constantly shifting icey soundscape. Lovely!

Review: It seems as though the Encrypted Audio team are looking to continue the run of good form that saw them through the breadth of 2019 as they kick off the new year with this swamp-ready EP from Manta. On the A-side we are gifted 'It Lurks', a proper spooky little warbler which provides an unassailable wonk between its unorthodox drum claps and moogy bass grooves. On the flip, 'Zealot' continues the murky theme, this time taking a more stuttered rhythmic approach, packing some serious sub energy below!

Review: It's been an excellent year of releases for the team at Encrypted Audio, who here continue their flavoursome run with a combined EP from Mrshl and Centauri, kicking off with Centauri's super experimental machine gun chomper in 'Invicta'. Next, Mrshl roles out for his solo addition with grimey synths and evil horns on 'Spastic Bells' followed by a jump into two back to back collaborations. First, the pair combine gritty dubstep flavours with colourful percussive influences on 'Grey', before finishing everything up with the stuttered drums and choppy bass stutters of 'Hallway Freakout', rounding off an impressive body of work.

Review: Encrypted Audio are back in the building with yet another stack of absolute heaters here as they enlist the vibrant production stylings of Kodama for a delightful three track selection. We begin with a dip into 'Moonlight', a spacey, glittering soundscape packed with constantly evolving synth themes and moogy subs. Next, 'Shokichi' lands, packed with Asian melodic themes and spicy basslines, followed the super swinging drum arrangements of 'Witching Hour', a composition brimming with stunning harmonies and lively chiming melodics. This is definitely one to be taken in inside a venue!

Review: The sheer amount of quality dubstep we have been receiving in the store is so pleasing to see, with producers pulling out new tricks every week to keep the genre as fresh and vibrant as it has ever been. We begin this project from Dubape with a peek into 'Trapped', a phenomenal piece of steppers production, laced with irresistible eastern string work. Next the rawcus horn roars of 'Gargoyle' step into the driving seat, followed by 'Burn' alongside Hiloxam, an alien-like roller, housing some very cool sounds indeed. We then finish up the project with the syncopated hat rhythms and choppy synth work of 'Virus' with Scooped, rounding things of in good fashion.

Review: We always look forward to seeing a fresh delivery from the highly celebrated Encrypted Audio camp, who here provide us with another sack of sauce as they put forward this experimental helping from A_0. This is by no means your typical dubstep release, as we hear the immediate unpredictability of 'XP's synths run riot amidst a broken coming together of industrial sorcery. To follow, the darkened eskimo synth stabs of 'Fienz' and the super grimey designs of the energetic 'Impact'. Finally, we finish up our look at this project with a dip into super syncopated rhythmic bliss and unpredictability of 'Scraper', sure to send any dance into an absolute state.

Review: The Encrypted Audio camp have always held an extremely high standard a label project. This is a trend with most certainly continues in style as they bring in Manchester's dub specialist Hypho for a sumptuous four track bonanza. First we look at 'Guillotine' which brings aquatic rhythms together with 8 bit sound design for a exciting outing. Following this, 'Blazed' and 'Narrow' provide more of the same flavours with engulfing subs running riot amidst powerful drumlines. Finally, the unpredictable bass movements and shuffled chops of 'Rotten Milk' finish up the project with a bang, rounding off an impressive body of work.

Review: It appears that the Encrypted Audio team seem pretty intent on continuing their high profile run of releases as they unveil this quite frankly phenomenal body of work from Nottingham's SkintDisco. 'ENC038D' is a top draw LP project, from 'Type Zero' with its euphoric arpeggiated textures and 'Blutack' with its impeccable dubwise sound design to the tribal percussive flavours of 'Issa', the eastern inspired melodies of 'Suffer' and the dungeon driven subs of 'The Pipe'. The project also comes complete with two top draw remixes, as Zygos takes 'Type Zero' for a spacey overhaul and Koma reworks 'The Pipe' into a percussive shackout. Excellent work from start to finish!
