Review: Cult of the UFO is a new solo recording project by Anthony Barker on his very own Enlightenment Records. Barker is known for his involvement in Overlords of the UFO and those elements of retro, hardware-based sci-fi sounds are apparent on the classic early '90s dance sound of "Infinity Machine". Acid house meets middle eastern instrumentation and post-punk aesthetics of "Flying Saucers" while "I Am An Alien From Outer Space" takes you on a journey through slo-mo psychedlia.
Review: Beyond the Outer Limits by Cult of the UFO is a new solo recording project by Anthony Barker and is the third release by Enlightenment Records. Due to Barker being an integral contributor to the music of Overlords of the UFO, the four tracks maintain the trademark retro analogue sci-fi vibe you've come to know from him, although with a more contemporary edge. Electro meets Italo sounds on the neon-lit adventure "Alien Voodoo", followed by the elevating "Children Of The Gods" and heads-down number electro beat "Sound Isn't Real".
