Review: Following last year's Mon Premier debut album, Nicolas Duvoisin returns to his own imprint with more hypnotic, pared back house. "Black Market" is a subtle, rolling groove: peppered with acidic bleeps and warm filters, these elements make for a hypnotic affair. Duvoisin uses a similar approach on "Black Ocean": this time, a nagging bass and balmy chords are to the fore, supported by the kind of reduced groove that is more commonly associated with Perlon. The label has also commissioned remixes of "Black Market"; Barac delivers a mournful deep house version, while in Vern's hands it is transformed into a niggling minimal groove.
