Review: Fenix Fire has built up a reputation for releasing distinctive electro and Preacher Tapes is sure to build on its good name. "Pangs Of Hell" and "The Tormented Generation" capture the visceral energy of the release title, with samples of TV preachers unfolding over dense, noisy rhythms. "Destroy Civilization" is also peppered with disturbing samples, but its groove and dramatic synth swirls sound inspired by New Beat. Adam also goes down an analogue techno wormhole on this release, and "Do You Believe (Yes Sir I Do mix)" is the kind of gritty, noisy workout you might expect to hear on L.I.E.S. Maintaining this sense of diversity throughout, "Pleasure & Pain" is a grinding ebm track.
