Review: A pseudonym for Italian producer Diego Simonetti, Knobs isn't the most subtle techno project! It's hard to imagine the PC brigade embracing tracks like "Fuckatron" but that would be their loss, as the arrangement does a fine job at copper fastening G-Man style minimal jack with modern mnml echoes and reverbs. "Filthy Bitch" is another questionable title, but again its musical pedigree is beyond reproach as doubled up claps and rolling drums underscore a growling bassline and gritty filters. Best of all though is "Bum Bum Bum Bum", which despite its bogus name is an excellent slamming techno track, its splurging bass and snappy percussion fused for a lethal combination. Sometimes you just can't judge a book or a knob by its cover.
