Review: Audiofly's Flying Circus Recordings is back with more mystical and organic house sounds courtesy of Maga (Kindisch/Get Physical) who returns to the label with The Clock Is Ticking EP, where the French DJ and producer offers up two deep and ethereal tracks for the mind, body and soul. The title track is a moody yet utterly mesmerising experience which will leave you bedazzled with its ethereal aesthetic, while second offering "Traverse" goes for a more widescreen approach, featuring glacial dub techno motifs and expanded melodic sequences.
Review: Israeli DJ/producer Sean Doron (Rebellion/Inmotion Music/Bla Bla) is up next on Audiofly's Flying Circus with the 'Illuminati' EP. You could just imagine the likes of Lee Burridge playing the dreamy and majestic tribal deep house of "Ritual Gathering" on a sunny rooftop this weekend, while the moody and lo-slung hypnotiser "Pleasure & Pain" will no doubt capture you under its spell as well - the female vocal throughout is just stunning. Finally, he serves up some epic dancefloor drama on the sonic narrative of the title track. With support coming from DJs as diverse as Dixon, Sasha and Joseph Capriati - expect to be hearing this one well into 2020.
Review: It's a case of hunter turned gamekeeper as Hannes Bieger drops this heavyweight EP. Known to many as a mastering and mixing engineer of the highest quality, he now brings his considerable experience and prowess to bear on releasing his own music. The title track is lead by epic but dark trance hooks and supported by concrete weight kicks and recoiling bass. It's a powerful affair that moves effortlessly between house and techno. On the flip, Bieger goes darker and more menacing. "Caldera" revolves around a menacing bass that purrs malevolently, but it's the interplay with the ice cool synths playing out over the top that make it so powerful.
Review: Back in 2016, following up the success of their respected Supernature label, Anthony Middleton and Luca Saporito (AKA Audiofly) launched a fresh new music platform in the form of Flying Circus Recordings. Azimute, Francesca Lombardo and Raw District have all featured thus far amongst others and now they hand over the reins to Spanish rising star Squire who maintains the status quo wonderfully on The Seven Principles EP. Moody and atmospheric dancefloor drama is well in order from the get go - as heard on the slinky progressive house groove "Lost Again". The remix up next by Venetian producer Olderic takes things further down the left hand path - that seething Reese bassline is certainly a nice touch and just adds to the suspense. For variety, he has a deeper and more uplifting contribution on here in the form of "Red Dot", a slinky and sensual groove with hypnotic elements that is perfect for those cool down moments.
