Review: Jimmy Ross is best known for Paradise Garage anthems 'Fall In To A Trance' and 'First True Love Affair' and here, Fulltime Production breathe new life into another track culled, like those two, from his 1981 debut album. A pleasingly chunked-up makeover from Flowersons (or its matching Edit) will get the soulful/disco house floors moving for sure, while Scudo's rub is perhaps the better bet for funk/disco/boogie purists - though if you're gonna be THAT 'pure' about it you could always stick to the Original, which is also included. Ultimately, though, all four mixes are eminently playable.
Review: A bit of a mystery release here! Long-running Italian label Fulltime Production have been reissuing a lot of their early 80s catalogue lately, but we can find no original release for this one - and there are also several contemporary R&B/hip-hop producers working as Tony Black. 'Put Your Dancin' Shoes On' could, therefore, have been put together last week, or nearly 40 years ago! We'd err towards the latter, but either way it's a midpaced funk groover with a lounge-y feel that gets looped up and teased out by M. Berardi, given a stuttery, jazzy twist by Les Inferno and then dragged onto the disco floor by Musta.
