Drum n Bass / Jungle label Function Records started in 1996 with one purpose in mind, to give Digital's unique music a home. "Although to date I've recorded for a heap of labels including Metalheadz, Reinforced, Exit, 31 Recordings, Creative Source, and Photek Productions, and accumulating over 130 releases, it was never easy getting music signed to other labels because I didn't fit in with the flow of the scene. Fortunately, my first releases, 'Touch Me' and 'Spacefunk', did well for me, so that might be why D.J.'s had the patience to keep listening." (Digital 2021)

Function Records has signed music from some fantastic artists, including Spirit, Drumsound & Bassline Smith, Total Science, Kiljoy, Tango & Ratty, Outrage, and Calibre & Jet Li. Also, remixes from S.P.Y., Dub Phizix, Om Unit, J. Kenzo, Benny Page, Need For Mirrors and Pendulum.

However, looking out for new artists is what excites us the most, and that's why Digital has always offered help to artists finding their feet in the scene; Amit, Outrage, Sonic & Silver, Concord Dawn, and many more are testaments. Outrage says, "The genuine, selfless mentoring that Digital has given me over the years has contributed greatly towards my art and progression in music. His compassion to help others has inspired me with own my motivation to help educate and support the next generation." Recently Function Records have the honour of working with www.eq50.co.uk on their mentorship programme. EQ50 states, "The mentorship will work to redress D&B's gender imbalance and pair each mentee with one of Critical Music, Function Records, Ram Records, Shogun Audio and V Recordings." Function Records chose Charla Green from Sheffield because her exciting portfolio showed versatility around different genres. Charla and Digital's work together has contributed to DrumnBass Arena's 25 Year series with a well-received track called 'On The Grind'. https://www.instagram.com/charlagreenuk/
