Review: A treat for lovers of soulful Latin grooves here, as Cape Verdean marno legend Cesaria Evora gets the remix treatment from three of New York's finest, nearly eight years after her death (at the age of 70) in 2011. Francois K & Joe Claussell's Body & Soul Mix is up first and is dripping in world and jazz flavas, with Evora's Portuguese-language vocal sitting alongside gentle piano chords, mournful trumpet and fluttering, flute-like synths, all underpinned by rolling house beats. Francois K & Eric Kupper's Main Pass uses less of the organic instruments and rides a more tribal rhythm, making it the pick for dancefloor play in less specialist clubs.
