Review: Here we find a bag of mellowed out tech at its finest as Melokolektiv slap the name onto this brand new release alongside the Galaktika imprint. The title track 'Where Are You Earth' is stunning, made of up of luscious layers of atmospheric texture pulsating amidst subtly reverberated chord structures and blissfully smooth drum processing. We step up a gear with 'How To Be Drawn' as more aggressive subs and acidic melodies combine over softened spacey pads above. We then have the super experimental breaksy space and metallic arpeggiation of 'Control The Night' before moving into some high profile remixes. Mark E send 'How To Be Drawn' to the chop shop with an imaginative semi industrial revamp, whilst Langenberg techs it up with some moogish design and apocalyptic soundscaping.

Review: Paulo Olarte's clear-headed tech-house has earned him plenty of appearances on renowned European labels since the mid 00s and, as it's clear to see with this latest EP for Galaktika, quite a few remix favours too. Appearing only in a cameo role, Olarte's tunes have been re-crafted by a special sort of audience; Switchdance's version of "Solo Dejate Llevar" is a quirky, Eastern-minded house sketch with an dusty percussion swing and plenty of outsider sonics, whereas Sano's rework of "La Queen" is comparatively more dance-centric - but still wonderfully deep. Sau Poler's own take on "Solo Dejate llevar" is deeper and more mystical compared to Switchdance's version, but still tipped on that magic deep house swing, which leaves Dany F to drop our personal pick from the lot, a slow and Balearic revisioning of "No Puede Ser". You wanna make sure you've got these in the bag for any potential beach parties this summer. Particularly Dany F's version.
