Review: Next up on gather, we see the enigmatic sounds of Daisu arrives across for very unique creations, exploring sound design and digital harmony on a whole different plateau. We open up with the gorgeous percussive rolls and bulbous bass action of 'Lightwork', which being topped with drippy synthetics kicks us off in style, before the unorthodox vocal chops and garage-style drum work of 'First In The Fight' sweeps into view. From here, the euphoric arpeggios and distant vocal reverberations of 'Not Even' give us a rave-ready masterclass in futuristic dance production, before exploring a much more broken-beat remix of 'First In The Fight', this time focussing on moogy LFOs to round off the EP in style.
