Review: More loose limbed disco tomfoolery on the relentless Gazeebo International imprint, this time from the oddly named This Is A Recording. In its original form, "Southern Neon Lights" offers discerning disco DJs a jaunty fusion of space disco bottom end, dubwise effects and air guitar-friendly riffery. It's an unusual combination, but one that works surprisingly well. Bossman Gazeebo handles remix duties, turning in a sprightly rework that re-casts the original as an organ-laden dub disco jam. There's plenty of delay for those who like that kind of thing (and, let's face it, who doesn't?), plus a bombastic new bassline to enjoy.
