Planet 727 - (6:39) 125 BPM

That Was Well Quick - (5:42) 128 BPM
Review: Gottwax makes a powerful return with its seventh release, and this time, the spotlight shines on Beeyou co-founder and FUSE regular, Laidlaw. This four-track gem navigates deep house, stripped-back grooves, and breakbeats at large, kicking off with "Wait Till The End" - a deep house peach that weaves a playful bassline, moody chords, and glistening top notes into a harmonious blend of atmosphere. "Planet 727" then provides minimal groover with subby bass and tribal-infused rhythms while the title track "Prophecy" lives up to its name, boasting a groove-laced breakbeat journey with intricate textures nestling up to a sweet, infectious melody. Locking it off is "That Was Well Quick" - a high-energy beat down adorned with luscious melodic elements to mark an exciting new addition to the Gottwax family. The Prophecy!

Blanka - (5:11) 118 BPM Biggest-selling track on this release

Flava - (5:16) 110 BPM

Verdeta - (5:08) 118 BPM

Helblua - (5:12) 120 BPM
Review: 11 years have now passed since Italian disco scene stalwarts Daniele Baldelli (AKA the originator of the 'cosmic disco' sound) and DJ Rocca first joined forces in the studio. They've released plenty of must-check material since - including two solid albums - but this EP for Gottwax is actually their first joint effort for three years. They begin by peppering a rubbery, squelchy, post-electro groove with jaunty guitars, mind-mangling electronics and sparkling synthesizer lead lines on 'Blanka', before dipping the tempo to 110 BPM on the Yellow Magic Orchestra-does-cosmic disco flex of 'Flava'. 'Verdeta' is another loose-limbed, analogue-rich synth dancer full of bubbly riffs and interestingly programmed drums, while 'Helblua' is a modular and analogue-heavy slab of lo-fi electronic disco cheekiness.

Fire On Fire - (7:16) 123 BPM

Dinero - (6:30) 122 BPM

Fire On Fire (Luca Lozano remix) - (8:19) 125 BPM Biggest-selling track on this release

In The Avenue - (5:17) 120 BPM
Review: With previous releases under his belt for labels including Pleasure Club, Hamam House and Superlux Records, Nick 'N-Gynn' Gynn comes to the Gottwood Festival's spin-off label with a four-track EP here. 'Fire On Fire' looks mainly to early Chicago house for inspiration, albeit at a more sedate, 2022-friendly tempo, while 'Dinero' has a similarly old school vibe and rocks a snippet of spoken vocal culled from a Bob Marley interview. Luca Lozano then gives 'Fire On Fire' a Middle Eastern-tinged makeover before the package is completed by 'In The Avenue', which with its squelchy, bruk beat-style b-line and kiddy vocal has something of a mid-00s air.
