Review: Previously spotted on Exert, rising Belgian talent Lixed lays down two slabs of concentrated dancefloor diesel for his Gradient debut. 'Flashback' can only be described as hyper-grot thanks to its ultra-twisted slimy one-shot croaks and stabs. Review: Possibly one of the most misleading names in the game... The only thing erroneous about Master Error is his alias. This man is on point and has been for some years now. This EP is a perfect case in point: a generous grot fest that shoots more lasers and has more muscle than the US army. Highlights include the sassy soul of 'Don't Want You', the walloping set-opener 'Breakthrough', the already massive 'Lakota' (with Toxinate) and the brute force 'Raw Flavour'. Bonus points for such a misleading title, too. Master Error isn't just breaking through, he's an established part of the new generation! Masterful.

Review: Magenta on Gradient... Do we need to say any more? Okay, Magenta on Gradient with an AMPLIFY collab. If we need to say more than that then you're clearly not up to speed on how big this EP is. Six tracks in total, this is the Czech artist's most accomplished collection of tracks so far as he flexes and fires from vibe to vibe. The addictive riffy hook of 'Bad Girl' sets the tone and pace before each proceeding cut knocks us off our feet. Highlights include the savage brutalist funk of 'Two Grams', the hectic dancefloor tension of 'Chance' and the finale cut (with Junger) - 'Position'. Full strength!

Review: Premium by name, premium by nature: 'Whip' has been a huge track this year, slapping the jumpier, underground dancefloor sides of D&B across Europe silly for some months. It's no wonder: those high frequency croaks, vocal stabs and dreamy drop hit the perfect spot. For added danger check 'The Morgue' where Premium gets back to his twisted funk ways. Review: Having a mare mate? Don't worry, Metal Work is too. A real grotty, freaky, gnarly nightmare if the title track of this EP is anything to go by. Elsewhere he's having computer issues with the glitchy fury of '404' (with Master Error), he's fixing leaky pipes on the barking mad 'Drip', having issues with his heating on the staccato shots of 'Freeze' and being chased by unclassifiable beasts on the grizzly 'Monsta'. And if that's not quite enough, his watch is broken on the trippy, warped and wonderfully weird 'Time Won't Slow Down'. Chin up MW, brighter days ahead!

Review: Gradient maintain their benchmark-setting pace, energy and creativity with the latest instalment of their 'Momentum' collection featuring an all-star cast of family members and founders. The message is clear from the off as Filthy Habits 'Street Scum' gets slappy with its energy and technoid aesthetic and L3MMY DUBZ adds to the intensity and fever with the totally twisted 'Punch Line'. Review: Poor old Warhead, he's in a bit of trouble for throwing too many bombs at unsuspecting ravers and his folks have grounded him. Good job he's got music to keep him company... The grizzly title track is the tip of the iceberg as we're taking through some of the strangest and silliest corners of Warhead's mind. 'Feel It' is a real elastic head-bender, 'Sinner' is all sheet metal scratches and weirdo funk, 'Imminent' is a staccato slap-about, 'Teachers Pet' has the pressure and intensity of a million detentions while 'The Revolution' sees Warhead's parents finally letting him out to play again... Only to get flattened by savage metallic basslines and have a stinky groove thrown in their faces. Ground as pound.

Review: Norwich maestro Banzai continues to whip up storms, this time on Gradient with two absolute howler riddims. 'Javelin' throws you full force into the mix as Indigo dusts of some spiky bars hurling himself on either side of the stripped back groove and tick-tock style bass lick.
