Review: Taking a break from his regular beef with various EDMsters and techno hipsters, Sneak returns to the studio to do what he does best; slap seventy shades of sonic shizzle out of his studio. Here are four class examples; "House That Jack Built" is a bone-shaking homage to every house record to ever come out of the US, "Definition Movement" is a Yazoo sampling behemoth, "Micronolito" is jacking groove that winks with Latino spirit while "You're Welcome" brings us to a percussive climax that's closer, at points, to techno than it is house. Explosive!

Review: Okay, this is officially clever... Canadian duo Jeff and Balu have heavily sampled this ace nagging, loopy hook from Philadelphia International's "Clean Up The Ghetto", turning it into a spiralling session of juicy heads down, hip-strutting house. And they've called it "The Hoser". That's literally neat. It's also an exemplary lesson in very clean sample-craft. "Make It Happen" isn't quite so cryptically titled, it's the vocal refrain on the sample, but to be honest we don't care; we're too busy dancing to this unrelenting loopy, trumpet-tooting groove. Quintessential house music.

Review: Having bonded over a deep love of Chicago's musical heritage, Kris & JP from South of Roosevelt have spent the past few years steadily building up their steez as house producers, with this latest EP showcasing their styles nicely. The tightly-looped jack-funk of "Gimme A Taste" is a great opener, while "Everytime We Dance" is a disco-loopin' delight with a brilliantly vital vocal dropped over the top. Continuing the jazz theme running through "Gimme A Taste", the duo sample trumpets over a filtered-down and rumbling bassline on "It Comes From", while "Sale & Consumption" adds a touch of glitch to the uplifting and soulful jack beat.

Review: If you like your detectives to come with chips and mushy peas, you'll love the Inspector Haddock EP from Jon Allegro. The requisite granite hard kick underpins a cheeky string led melody on the EP's title track, with crisp arrangement making it stand out as a killer DJ tool. Nikolai Dimitrov, Cause & Affect and Sonny Fodera all chip in with remixes, and it's the latter who impresses our ears most with a totally outrageous, build & drop take on the original!

Review: The Disco Biscuits EP sees five more jackin' beauties from the musical mind of Adelaide-born DJ and producer Fodera. The heavily filtered sound of the title track is reminscent of Bangalter and Van Helden in their pomp, as a cheeky cinematic sample gets chopped up over a relentless disco beat. "Drive In" is just as essential, mixing old jazz samples with dusted looped vocals to work up a storming house gem akni to vintage Basement Jaxx. A dub is on hand for the jazzier floors. "Hold On" keeps the party going with some deep and driving organ stabs, while "Let It Roll" is hip house meets disco with a rap that work a treat paired with the discofied beats.
