Review: For the fourth instalment of his Hardspace remix series, Len Faki reworks house and techno royalty. A case in point is Josh Wink & Ursula Rucker's "Sixth Sense". In his hands, it morphs into a slamming, steely rhythm, with Rucker's distinctive vocals playing out over this tough backdrop. Faki also gets to grips with Mike Parker's "Shakuhachi Two". In its original form, this hypnotic, tonal track is unmistakable - the same can be said of Faki's rework, where piledriving percussion and looped tones come together. It's not all peak time techno though. The remixed version of DJ Yoav B's 2012 track "Energize" revolves around neat claps and a searing acid bass, while his version of Huxley's "Weapon 3" is an unforgettable, slamming house track.
