Psycho (Enzo Elia That Morning edit) - (6:16) 115 BPM
So I Want To Say (Ta Ta Ta) (Enzo Elia Ultradubabbestia edit) - (8:51) 117 BPM
Review: On his Balearic Gabba Edits series, Enzo Elia is redefining the notion of Balearica. Or, more specifically, taking eccentric source material (in the case of this EP, two proto-trance records by Psycho Team, and an oddball chunk of mid-90s Italian house by Endangered People) and reworking it into something much more Balearic. Not that you could say that "So I Want To Say (Ta Ta Ta)" was particularly Balearic; in fact, Elia's version sounds like proto-trance. This is particularly ironic since the two versions here of Italian proto-trance gems bear little resemblance to the originals. Both, however, are fabulous; the wide-eyed bliss of "Psycho" is only bettered by a piano laden, '89-style breakbeat techno take on "Hypno".
