Review: Deep house producer Erdi Irmak has been in fine form this year. "Tomorrow Never Comes" is remarkably Imrak's sixth single of the year, with more due to drop in the coming weeks. First head for attractive EP opener "After All", where warm, swelling strings, deep piano motifs and lilting, acid-style lead lines rise above layered drums and groovy bass, before admiring the similarly percussive but more tech-tinged deep house flex of "Gray". Arguably best of all though is title track "Tomorrow Never Comes", a sunrise-ready shuffle through tactile deep house pastures in the company of glistening lead lines, jazzy guitar motifs, tumbling pianos, delightfully opaque chords and heady female vocal samples.

Review: Nacho Varela and Cruz Vittor - two Argentinian producers who work both as a duo and individually - made their debut on All Day I Dream label in 2019. Now, several EPs later, they come to LA-based label Hoomidaas with three more cuts that blur the boundaries between deep and progressive house. The title track is a delicate, slow-building throbber; 'Words' is a slightly lower-tempo, more contemplative number complete with a (rather poppy) male vocal from Geri Terella, while finally 'Chilled Moon' has a lolloping, almost dub-wise feel. Any/all of the three will slot into those "playa house" sets nicely.

Volume three, which lands 12 months after its predecessor and presents a similarly sunny and atmospheric blend of high-grade cuts. For proof, check out the clips of Hreach's hypnotic but stirring 'Blue Road', the percussion-rich deep-tech loveliness of Lucien's 'Lluvia', the fluttering summer breeze beauty of 'Virtue' by Hermanez, and the psychedelic, trance-inducing dancefloor psychedelia of Luka Sambe's 'The Juggle'.

Review: Following a recent appearance on Akbal Music's B2B Series, where he shared top billing with Madraas, Amulanga Records co-founder Ventt pops up on Hoomidas with his first solo EP for some time. He successfully sets his stall out with 'Mayaluga', a gently exotic slab of stirring deep house warmth full of twinkling pianos, drifting chords, snare-heavy deep-tech beats and cascading strings. It's the kind of musically intricate lusciousness you'd associate with the All Day I Dream label, which is no bad thing. He opts for a similarly gently uplifting feel on the more spacey and swirling 'Silent Memories', before layering up the percussion and reaching for more picturesque strings and pianos on delicious closing cut 'Sundara'.

Review: 14years have now passed since Death on the Balcony made their debut. Since then, the duo of Mark Caramelli and Paul Hargreaves has released boundary-blurring deep house and tech-house gems on labels including All Day I Dream, Earthly Delights and Anjunadeep. Here they make their bow on Hoomidaas via a typically tidy three-tracker. The headline attraction is undoubtedly lead cut 'Request The Love in Me', a yearning and bittersweet chunk of dancefloor melancholia in which heart-aching synth-strings, sustained chords, eyes-closed vocalisations and fluid piano motifs rise above snare-heavy tech-house beats and a sturdy, sub-heavy bassline. Mihai Popoviciu provides an accompanying Romanian style tech-house revision - all wonky analogue bass, glitchy percussion and mind-altering electronics - while bonus cut 'On The Surface' is a drowsy, atmospheric chunk of ghostly deep house/tech-house fusion.
