Review: If your leisure time activities tend towards herbal remedies and Rizla origami, then you're gonna love this new EP from Underground Canopy, a self-described "hip-hop-fed, groove-infused jazz band" from Paris who serve up a track that's tailor-made for late night, sofa-based chillin' and that comes in three equally headnodding mixes. The original's a midtempo, meandering affair with occasional bursts of frantic percussion that also sports some seriously wibbly analogue synths, the Ceylan Cut smoothes things out a little while the Barion Cut brings D&B flourishes, but you should probably just play all three back-to-back - 'Pearl Express' really is that good.
