Review: After a very brief hiatus, the Iron Shirt Recordings team are back at it again with yet another killer dubstep drop, this time seeing Dark Entity unleashing an eight-track LP display jam-packed with steppers-infused goodness. Our journey begins with the powerful percussive pumps of 'Skulk', which through gnarly bass pulses and a constantly expanding soundscape works wonders before Wreckage gives the track a subby overhaul for good measure. Next, we are greeted by an earth-shattering display of growling reesey bass textures on 'No Leaders', which is then chased up by L Nix who delivers an impressive melodic overhaul. From here we move into the title track 'Room', which features some catchy vocal swings from Daygorilla on mic duties, before the shimmering synth slides of 'Bonecrusher' and gut-punching subs of the Graysound remix send us back down a much more steppers influenced road. Finally, 'Idle' gives us a rousing crescendo to the LP, with a heavy melodic influence of piano and synths playing a major role to sign us out in style.

Review: It's safe to say that Iron Shirt recordings are a force to be feared within the ever expanding plains of modern dubstep, with this brand new album from Dark Entity being their kick start into 2019. As far as dubstep album's go, this one packs everything you would want, from the spooky piano textures of 'Myth' to the minimalist sub warbles of the title track 'Sophistry' and reesey atmospheric pressures of 'Token'. Armed with remixes from 1137, Wreckage, L Nix and Tallan & Clause, this is a project we recommend you find some time in your day to experience in long play, as the journey from start to finish is something truly exceptional. Highlights for this one include the stuttered drum slips of 'Antidote' and haunted tones of 'Dusk'.
