Review: It's always a good time when L Nix & Outsider combine, which Iron Shirt Recordings facilitate again on this fabulous new five track display. We begin with the war-like soundscapes and grizzly themes of 'The Land Of Ruin', which kick starts the EP with a bang alongside Leon Switch's reese-heavy rethink directly after. From here, 'Destroying Acheron' then sees the pair embrace their minimal roots as stripped back drums host a combo of subtle LFO's slices and lethal sub textures before '12 Hours Till Darkness' gives us more of the same tasty dish. We then finish up with the swampy sound design and gnarly textures of 'City Of Sins', which through a combination of haunted string-like melodies, chomping bass punches and hard hitting drums, unleashes a perfect sign off.

Review: Right about now we are ready to dive into yet more heavyweight dubstep flavour from the Iron Shirt Recordings camp, who touch down alongside the futuristic sounds of IDHS across five tracks of pure power. We kick off with 'Mutant', a choppy swamp fest, dripping in grizzly bass energies, which is followed up quickly by the demonic marches and system-ready subs of 'Wreckon'. Next, L Nix gets involved on remix duty, adding a tasty new spin to 'Wreckon' before IDHS is set loose again across the muddy synth slaps of 'Nightvision' and dungeon-style drum expansions of 'Neuro Bender'. Awesome stuff!

Review: It's a UK via New Zealand affair as Kiwi label Iron Shirt commission Londoner Native for four breath-takingly deep moments in dub. Hitting the abyss button on his bass machine and gluing it down throughout, we're treated to the following: complex percussion-heavy and elephantine sub bass ("Anaconda"), dreamy vocal garage bliss ("Reborn"), spacious, clicky contemplation ("Memories") and 23rd century space funk ("Moonlight"). Big.

Review: The word 'haunted' is used far too often when it comes to cold, chilling, eerie dubstep like this. But this release actually is haunted. Well, a bloke down the pub told us three ghosts got into Tallan's computer as he mixed this mighty four-tracker down and you can hear them crying amongst the icy pads and sparse, reverberating rhythms. Mind you, the same guy told us he had a hover board. And he didn't. So it's probably nonsense. Whatever - each of these heavy head-nodders pays homage to traditional dub techniques where real intricacies are paid to each element as they warp and morph from classic to future dub textures. Scarily good.
