Review: There aren't many labels who do progressive better than John 00 Flemming's JOOF, with it actually being his favorite style of trance. That is enough to make you know that a collection of ten new tracks on this 'Progressions' compilation are going to be quality. Hand picked by the main man and his team, they bring together the likes of; Audio Noir, Dan Ascheri, and James Harcourt as well as the CJ Art Dub and TJP pres Eruption remixes of 00 Flemmings own 'WKO'. Also be sure to check the CJ Art remix of 'Time C' from Nancy Burrello & Digital Angel. A priceless progressive bargain, be sure to grab the lot!

Review: When you have been at the top of your game for as long as John 00 Flemming and have such an iconic label, it must take allot for a new artist to impress. Norwegian Subtara has obviously (and deservedly) done just that as he follows up an EP on JOOF V2 last year with this solid three tracker on the main imprint. With influences spanning the likes of Oakie, Airwave, and Nick Warren, 'Alternative Reality' is the club track, packed with nostalgia from the melodies, distant vocals and that trademark 00 Flemming psy edge, 'Quantizum Solace' is a deeper and more experimental moment with lots of interesting flavours bubbling in the mix, and on 'The Darker Voyage' he ticks the breakbeat box. A well rounded EP from a promising artist, which is well worth getting your ears around.

There is an experimental flair to the 12 tracks, of course in routed trance but doing so much more than that. With recording sessions at Abbey Road on strings and pianos and his psy acid lines meeting raw acoustic elements, it's a roller-coaster ride and attack on the senses. Review: We are due a brand new (much anticipated) album from the JOOF head honcho imminently, and this latest single is a teaser of what's to come. The dark and twisted sounds of 'WKO' are very much the trademark sound of 00 Flemming, keeping that psy trance energy on the rolling bottom end, and flash fills heightening throughout, there is an eerie vocal thrown in to keep plenty of interest and build atmosphere. Where this really triumphs, is the remix from Cosmithex which carries more floor appeal across a wider spectrum of styles, with an airier and more uplifting delivery. That's not to say the main mans doesn't kick it, just on a more underground level.. Which we love him for!

Review: John 00 Flemming's JOOF label has been seriously on-point so far this year, with both established names and a plethora of the nu-breed showcased. The latest sees the return of Scandinavia's progressive king Tegma who brings his crystal clear production and psy induced flair, with yet another dance-floor banger in 'The Gods'. His unique style is most definitely on show in this peaktime roller, and you can really hear how well it must translate in his live shows. With well over 50 releases to his name, the word prolific couldn't be more fitting, and there is no let up in quality for quantity. A certified banger that will work in a wide range of sets.

Review: Record labels don't get much more genre defining than John 00 Flemings' long running JOOF. An imprint which for many years has been a beacon for the finest psy and progressive. The latest comes from the Insert Name boys who deliver two blinding tracks of deep and moving prog. All you need to add to the mix here is a smoke machine, and that will be more than enough to bring the vibes. 'Rewrite The Future' is the biggest of the two, with its eerie atmospherics and subtle builds, 'IMR 031' has a tougher kick and a bit more pace, so will work equally as well on the floor.

Review: John 00 Flemming's genre leading JOOP label keep their foot firmly on the gas, with this latest EP from yet another superstar talent, in Tegma. One of the most prolific producers in psy he has amassed an astonishing; four albums, and over 50 singles. You would think the man would be all out of inspiration after that, but these two club rockers prove that isn't the case. Leading the way for a new artist album that is due out at the end of the year, for us it is high octane 'Crazyman' that we have had on repeat for days. With more energy than the Duracell bunny, this is an out an out crowd pleaser that can be dropped in any trance set... Turn this up, loud!!

Review: There may be an argument that "remix editions" are overused by labels to simply cash in on what catalogue they have. That certainly isn't the case here with Swedish label Macarize though, who look back to 2010 and the brilliant 'Kaleidoscope ' from Canadian producer Paul Keeley. There are four new interpretations on offer, with each. Swedish producer David Folkebrant delivers the standout cut with extra piano lines and some glorious synth work, while Atlantis Ocean gets his progressive vibes behind it. S Bluver is also on hand to twist things up and add a unique edge. Some exciting sounds here, check them out!
