Review: When you have been at the top of your game for as long as John 00 Flemming and have such an iconic label, it must take allot for a new artist to impress. Norwegian Subtara has obviously (and deservedly) done just that as he follows up an EP on JOOF V2 last year with this solid three tracker on the main imprint. With influences spanning the likes of Oakie, Airwave, and Nick Warren, 'Alternative Reality' is the club track, packed with nostalgia from the melodies, distant vocals and that trademark 00 Flemming psy edge, 'Quantizum Solace' is a deeper and more experimental moment with lots of interesting flavours bubbling in the mix, and on 'The Darker Voyage' he ticks the breakbeat box. A well rounded EP from a promising artist, which is well worth getting your ears around.
