Review: Devilishly powerful techno from Welsh producer DJ Argy on this single-track release, which sees a slew of abrasive and brittle synths getting looped and layered over thick kicks and claps on "Group Therapy". With a developing progression into some huge, techno-trance chords, the bass is kept minimal so you can feel the full force of those gnarled-up synths.
Review: Argy ploughs onto Kiddfectious to blow the top off the soundsystem with his new two tracker, the All Star EP 2. "Are You" drives forward unstoppably as a pounding beat paves the way for little else besides cut up vocals, bass swabs and FX. "Monstro City" steps up the urgency and builds layer upon layer of trance-like euphoria whilst keeping the beat thumping to the last. Not one for the posers, this is sweaty, no holds barred techno.
