Review: KLP Records are turning 25, a crazy achievement that puts them right up there with Metalheadz et al, and so they're celebrating with a big compilation of tunes. Nicky Blackmarket, Klips & Outlaw kick things off on remix duties for DJ Monk's Touch Me, Tease Me. It's a classic combination of artists and the end result is equally timeless, with a sense of vocal softness descending into hard percussive knocks and grating jump-up synth work. It sets the tone for the rest of the album, which features contributions from Dublic, DJ QT, DJ Vapour and a load more. Unbelievable.

Review: DJ Direkt does one thing, and that's pump out absolutely wild cuts of destructive D&B. That's their sole mission and they're a producer who is more than familiar with the peculiarities of dancefloor pressure and twisted sonics. 'Module' is arguably the best cut on the EP, with absolutely wicked drums undergirding a Serum-esque display of dragged-out bass wizardry and gurgling force - the back-end on this track doesn't take any prisoners. The other tunes are trademark Direkt, with the punching stabs of 'Slang' and the stepping aggressiveness of 'Larger'. Big stuff.

Review: Everyone loves jungle that's both funky and naughty in equal measure, so this release has been hitting all of the right spots for us. It's a three-tracker that covers a lot of ground, especially when the breaks are as fast and as furious as they are on 'Repatriation', a proper jungle number with more attitude than Gordan Ramsey. We love the rudeboy style of 'Rudebwoy', and the 90s rave sampling of 'Back in the Day' reminds us a lot of, well, being back in the day. Banging release.

Review: This EP has a serious old-school vibe. It brings up imagery of breaking musical conventions and just doing whatever you want, of pirate radio and local takeaways. It's a jungle record and it's one with serious attitude, exemplified by 'Hey Women', which is given a sick ambience from its vocal, an atmosphere that's torn apart on the drop with a diving, pulsating back end that sits underneath some seriously heavyweight drums. What a sick release, we highly recommend this one.

Review: Hannibal Selector is building up a name for himself as someone who never fails to bring out the big guns with his music. It's always heavy, hard-hitting and built on soundscapes and vibes which are deeply urban. His newest single on KLP is no different and it kicks off with 'Judas Junglee', a subby roller with a bassline that stretches out over the horizon, the only constant being its grinding, coarse nature and the manner in which it constantly mutates and evolves. 'Nah Take No Life f' is equally as rough but less rolling and more jungley, its structure and nature constantly changes and it keeps the tune sounding consistently fresh. The 'Judas Jungle' VIP is absolute vibes too.

Review: One can throw the word 'legend' around all day long... But few match up to the might of DJ Monk. A mid 90s instigator who returned to critical acclaim several years ago and has since re-inked jungle's tattoo to the past with authentic melting pot roughhouse clarity. Here we find his label KLP reflecting and forecasting in equal measure with a great range of names: Ray Keith duffs up the drums on his modern take of "Deal Wid It", Serial Killaz skank up the dance with a spacious dancehall shake down "I Spy", Lion-UK hits a nine on the richter scale with the slinky sub funk take on "Jungle Riddim" while Serum seals the deal with his precision balanced jungle soul on "Good Body Girl". Legendary.

Kicking things off with a straight up remix from the man himself, things quickly take a turn for the hectic thanks to Liondub's high energy refix. Papa Gee gets in on the action on track three with a big dubbin' "riddim" remix, set to send dancefloors crazy. Vapour's D&B flex is the final massive remix on this huge EP.
