Review: Suboctane makes his debut appearance on the illustrious Koloa label with two track showdown of the finest two-step beats we've heard in a while. "Across Town" is a minimalistic swarmer that's ripe with street-grit and swirling harmonics - a real blazer! Title track "Polar Lights" is even more percussive and takes inspiration as much form Burial's jittering beat arrangements as it does from ambient and electronica. Recommended for the bass-heads.
