Review: Making his way back to Kouncil Cuts is BufoBufo, a force behind the Ritual Poison label with Corporeal Face, and Batrachian. Providing four cosmic bangers on this Noctilucent EP, "Chimera" is all encompassing expression session of rave, acid and electro, taking inspiration from - you name it! Keeping it deep and acid in the title track thanks to its bubbling basslines and soft synths, you'll find touches of spiralling Italo disco in "Undertow" that's given a pounding and dubbed out remake in the Pseudopolis remix.

Review: Slow-mo acid and hardcore techno collide on this wholly unique and distinct debut by FAFF. Arriving through the Kouncil Cuts label which appeared on radars in 2019, the label pushes a homegrown electro, techno, acid and breakbeat sound. Interestingly, FAFF goes for slower house tempos in the jungle infused ambient number "The Last Piglette" while throwing down a sped-up Prince Of Denmark tune in "Dilate". "Fungus" represents a deep and dubby 909 kick (w/hats) alongside some added dubstep basslines, with label resident Mark Mackenzie giving the latter a crisp drum and bass, breakbeat ambient shakedown. This little piggy went to market!

Review: Next up from the Kouncil Cuts team we see them unleash a real drop for the heads as they say, as Bufobufo joins forces with them to deliver 'Potholing'. We begin with 'Cave Network', an acidic moogfest which sees gnarly synthesizer action atop some crunchy breakbeats with infinite style, before 'Giant Antlion' deploys some militarian rhythms and bass pulses to switch the tone entirely. From here, 'Blue Demoiselle' gives us a much more melodic display as sweeping synths and stray saxophone samples wash across groovy drum riffs, before Corporeal Face sends 'Cave Network' to the jungle slicer for an intense, dancefloor inspired rework.
