Review: Francco joins the burgeoning LAD roster with the incessant groove of "Ride Bell". A tracky, relentless tech-house arrangement, its insistent, nightmarish stabs and wild breakdowns call to mind the tough NY house of early 90s Armand Van Helden - albeit with a contemporary production approach. Alvin Tech's version has fewer links to classic house but doesn't suffer as a result. It favours a more slamming rhythm that's inspired by Dubfire and Adam Beyer's explorations of mnml. Despite having a lower profile, he manages to emulate the big names with relentless woodblock beats and a succession of hazy, noisy breakdowns. Expect both producers' profiles to rise as a result of Ride Bell.
