Review: For its latest release, LBR drops a split release of emerging electro talent. 11Schnull's "Whistles Of Weezy" is a noisy, industrial banger that centres on a murky bass and sharp percussive bursts, while on "M32", Rasmotron drops a raucous roller that's led by grinding riffs and wailing vocal samples.
In contrast, Daao & York Hamza's "53Duc710n" is a deeper affair that has echoes of Versalife's brooding synth scapes, but still packs a serious dance floor punch thanks to the use of steely 808s. Cyan85's "Bass In My Mind" and Sin:it:sin's "How To Be Old" both operate in a similar orbit - esoteric but still dance floor focused, with the Lost Trax-style widescreen melodies and acid blips of the latter track really impressing.
