Fleuron Drift (Theo Kottis remix) - (6:49) 130 BPM
Fleuron Drift (Kassian remix) - (6:14) 68 BPM
Review: Sasha's latest single Fleuron Drift marks yet another milestone in the electronic maestro's illustrious career. Collaborating with Theo Kottis and Kassian for remixes on his own label (Last Night On Earth ), Sasha continues to redefine the boundaries of sonic intrepidation. The original track is a deeper journey, meticulously crafted with evolving synth layers and hypnotic drum patterns that culminate in a euphoric breakdown. Theo Kottis injects his remix with dynamic energy, featuring tech-leaning drums and glitchy textures for peak dance floor moments. Kassian's rendition then offers a quicker pace, blending funk-infused drums with soaring synth tension, promising to transport listeners yet more electronic bliss fit for a final night on this world. Drift away.

Review: Next up on Sasha's always impressive Last Night On Earth label comes the debut of Irishman DART (Dublin Area Rapid Tracks) who had an excellent debut on Brooklyn's Homage earlier this year. He keeps up with the same quality on his new offering entitled "Sweet Nectar", a glassy-eyed and bittersweet epic which gracefully packs a punch also. This is followed by the majestic dancefloor drama of "Theatre Of Dogs" and the evocative breaks of "Move Faster" which call to mind the late '90s sounds that Sasha himself was playing at the time. This is followed by a remix from DART's fellow countrymen heroes Brame & Hamo (Splendor & Squalour) who will have you fully trancing out with their rendition.

Rain - (5:41) 126 BPM
Review: Working under his Polymod alias, Shadow Child recorded this release during lockdown. He collaborated with Sasha on the title track, and the label owner's influence is audible on the vocal snippets and synth stabs that accompany the tough, steely rhythm. Flying solo for the rest of the release, Shadow Child goes deeper with the woozy synth hooks of "Clouds", while on "A New Zero", he opts for a more restrained approach, as ominous bass underpins dreamy, floating melodies. "Rain" is on a more stripped back tip, with the storied producer dropping a ponderous bass that underpins tripped out but still melancholic melodies.

Artche - "Split Open" - (7:10) 126 BPM Hot
Sasha - "One Who Knows" - (6:27) 125 BPM
Review: Manchester producer and vocalist Artche makes his way to Sacha's Last Night On Earth label with two originals and the fresh "Siren Chords" collaboration. Next to some solid, rocksteady and trademark Sascha break beats, Laurie Anderson-esque "Oh Superman" vocal expressions add a backing track to the tremolo-effected chorus of Artche lyrics in "Siren Chords". With warping effects and reversed synths pitched alongside the melancholic twist of the track's heavy bassline and trance-centric nature, pure production bliss meets seething nostalgic heat. With booming 808s pumping at full tilt in "Split Open", Artche's vocal here are reminiscent of the aching expressions in Junior Boys hit "Work", while yearning bleeps are furthermore soothed by the crooning tones of Artche's delivery and articulation in "One Who Knows". Mancunian master at work.

Review: After some promising efforts on Under No Illusion, Nurvous and Witty Tunes, it seems that rising Liverpudlian James Organ has now hit the big time - if this effort on Sasha's Last Night On Earth is anything to go by. The Transmit EP features a selection of evocative sonic narratives: from the hypnotising title track, to the ethereal mood music of "Elara" or the bittersweet dancefloor drama of "Muuden" which also recieves a sublime rework by ascendant Palestinian DJ Sama Abdulhadi - and it's also her impressive studio debut.

Review: Garry McCartney aka Ejeca returns to Last Night on Earth with a hypnotic dance floor EP. The title revolves around a brooding bass and hollowed out kicks, which he uses as a basis for uplifting melodies, tropical forest samples and haunting tribal chants. On "Your Mind", he ups the pace to deliver a pumping club rhythm that resounds to repetitive vocal samples and crisp claps. "Artmeis" sees him veer back towards a tranced out route, led by shimmering synth lines and dubbed out kicks. Finally, "Diskord" sees Ejeca display his techno credentials, with a pumping groove underpinning the kind of churning chord sequences that prevail on classic Force Inc releases.

Rimel - (10:22) 124 BPM
Review: Issac's debut release for Last Night On Earth has all of the elements that will appeal to fans of Sasha's label. The title track sees this upcoming producer fuse jittery back beats with dreamy synths and sublime, neo-classical melodies. On the original version of "It's An Extreme Life", Issac loops tranced out hooks and chiming bells over a straighter groove, while on the dub take he opts for a somewhat leaner, more streamlined rhythm as a backdrop for his shimmering musicality. Of all his tracks however, it's the bubbling rhythm and slightly epic melodies of "Rimel" that will endear him the most to Last Night On Earth's fans.

Review: Following his recent release on Odd Even, Dubspeeka now makes his debut on Last Night On Earth. "Torn434" sees him at his most reflective, with tranced out chords unfolding over a stripped back groove. It makes for a haunting, evocative deep techno arrangement. On "Torn392", the UK producer picks up the pace, with dense drums and tight claps underpinning dreamy textures; as the arrangement drops, brittle break beats are introduced to mark the transition. "Torn334" is the most ominous track; with its billowing chords and spaced out, filtered kick drums, it'll appeal to techno fans who might not normally gravitate towards material on Sasha's imprint.

Rituals (Sasha House mix) - (8:50) 123 BPM
Review: Rising British duo Maribou State released their breakthrough track "Rituals" on Counter Records last year showcasing their gorgeous and ethereal electronica sounds to the world. The track has now been picked up by Sasha with a pair of "Rutuals" remixes from the UK legend now issued on his own Last Night On Earth imprint. Mr Coe transforms "Rituals" into the ultimate journey track which gallops through the darklands relentlessly n its nine minute glory, done in a way that only such a master of the progressive house sound can. The "Sasha House Mix" is a bit more restrained and not as dark, definitely more uplifting with that shuffling synth and wonky synth melody.

Review: It has certainly been a big year for German veteran Steve Bug, who celebrated 20 years of his famed Poker Flat label and the recent release of "Mantis On The Moon" with UNER. Collaboration is clearly his thing, and once again he's made the right choice of studio partner, this time in the form of Koelsch wunderkind Tim Engelhardt - himself a Poker Flat staple - they both stare directly into the "Eyes Of The Python" here for Sasha's ever reliable Last Night On Earth. From the slinky and hypnotic sensuality of "River Of Babylon" which offers up something more uplifting, to the sinister atmospherics of the title track which is perfect for those heads down moment during the warm up set - or the end of the night alike.

Review: Following on from his joint release with K?lsch earlier this year, Sasha now flies solo with "Ripcord" on his own label. As one might expect from the master of deep, progressive house, his latest release is a long, drawn-out affair, that starts with a moody, growling bass and stripped back beats. Gradually however, the storied DJ introduces frosty, tranced out synths, otherworldly blips - and what sounds like an airplane landing - all set to driving percussion. As one would expect from the master of seamless, long mixes, it's designed to be played at maximum volume in a dark, sweaty room.

She's not messing around either, getting into the very direct Berliner way of style of things on "Simple & Direct" - indeed this straightforward banger with savage acid inflections gets the job done in functional fashion. The streamlined heads down tackle is equally catered for on the title track, utilising some sophisticated melodic structures, while closer "Tropfchen" sees her polish up on both her command of the local language and her precision studio skills on this slinky and hypnotic progressive house journey. Review: With deep house stalwarts Kruse & Nuernberg currently on hiatus, Florian Kruse has been pursuing a techier, more melodic path in his solo productions, with this EP for Sasha's Last Night On Earth label a case in point. Opener 'Zog' has the same deep beats and luxuriant feel you'd expect from a K&N production, but topped with proggy synths that throb away throughout. Julian Wassermann's remix turns the dark up a little, making this the pick for those 4am eyes wide shut moments, while closer 'The Tide Is Turning' again starts with Kruse's deep house roots showing before big, dramatic synths sweep in - perhaps inspiring the EP's title?

Review: Spanish duo Depaart are the latest act to sign to Sasha'a label. The title track brings together a multitude of different styles: there's the stripped back, minimal beats; bass that oozes menace and the somewhat apocalyptic sounding trance riffs. "Column Dance" is more understated; building on low-key drums, Depaart add in some throbbing low end before dropping an epic break down. It's exactly the type of track one could imagine Sasha himself playing. In stark contrast is the abstract "Watered, Cooked, Recycled", where the pair use deconstructed drums and a low-slung bass to create a new vision for minimal house. Factor in a deep, dubbed out take on the title track by A Friend of Marcus and Animal Picnic's tripped out take on "Column Dance" and you've got a hugely impressive debut on Last Night On Earth.

Taking up where he left off last year, "The Duel" demonstrates Christoph's fine knack for slinky and hypnotic tech-house: that's equal parts groove and suspense to boot. "Revolver" exercises more restraint on this melodic and moody serving of dancefloor drama that's perfect for when they turn the lights down low, while "Tremble" hammers the message home in style on this cyclical and etheric tool that's perfect for DJ's to transition in our out of the peak time shift. The original version of "Amae" is a pop-inflected, mellow and sensual listening experience for those chill-out moments led by Felicia Douglass' gorgeous vocal performance. It receives two remixes by label chief Sasha: the first "Sasha Fabric1999 mix" was used on his recent Fabric mix and indeed - like its name suggests - channels the vibe of pre-millennium tension. Review: Zoo Brazil has been a familiar name in the European tech-house scene for almost 20 years, but Moments is his first outing on Sasha's label. That said, it's not hard to understand why the storied Dj chose him to release on Last Night on Earth. The title track starts off with a lean, techy groove, before gradually morphing into the kind of epic, synth-led affair that Sasha is synonymous with, building and dropping before building again. "Mentor" features a similar approach, as Zoo Brazil moves quickly from a stripped back, minimal track into a pulsing, menacing arrangement. Closing out this long overdue debut is "Socialism", where the Swedish producer opts for a pulsating groove that'll appeal to those who prefer a more electronic sound.

Singularity (BAILE remix) - (8:53) 124 BPM
Review: It's been over a year since Sasha released new material on Last Night on Earth, so expectations are high for what he will deliver on "Singularity". On the title track, he strips back melodies and removes his love of textured breakdowns to deliver a driving, acid-tinged workout. It only starts to move into the storied UK DJ's epic sensibility after a good four minutes, but even then the break down is more frosty and menacing than usual. It sounds like Sasha has found a kindred spirit in the shape of Baile. The US artist is tasked with reworking "Singularity", and does a fine job, fusing melancholic guitar riffs with the seemingly disparate but in reality cohesive combination of menacing low end and warbling, high end melodies.

INAWIO - (6:36) 121 BPM
Review: London's John Monkman is back again, after some stellar releases in recent times for top labels such as Crosstown Rebels, Noir and Suara. His latest offering for Last Night On Earth (Sasha's progressive-house powerhouse) has you all sorted for evocative and suspense filled dancefloor drama guaranteed. On "Mad Hatter" prepare to be hypnotised by the track's epic, Recondite style melody and brooding atmosphere. There is more of the same on the emotive epic "Make Noize" featuring nefariously mechanical sound design and eerie textures to create an element of tension throughout. This one will accentuate all those strobe-lit moments of truth on the dancefloor! Finally "INAWIO" demonstrates once more how this talented producer has mastered his craft within the studio with a composition packed full of evocative elements and tightly engineered production values. Monkman is one to watch for sure in 2018!

Budakid & Formel - "Creatures" (Olaf Stuut remix) - (8:51) 122 BPM
Review: Sasha's Last Night On Earth presents the promising upstart from Tillburg Netherlands: Budakid aka Kevin Huizing. He has had previous releases on Einmusika and All Day I Dream. Here he teams up with Formel on the dark and slinky tech house groove that is the title track, before "Confused" sees him go solo for some emotive progressive house that builds up slowly and is perfect for the early evening or afterhours alike. The spacey cruise control of "Never Leave Your Shuttle" is up next and is perfect for those cool down moments on the dancefloor, until finally the Olaf Stuut remix of "Creatures" goes for an oddball form of tribalism that will take you straight into the stratosphere.

Man In The Tree - (8:00) 122 BPM
Review: Gheist is a Berlin based conspiracy. The project was founded at Riverside Studio during the last years and based on a deep friendship between the members. The goal is to connect the sound and vibe of an electronica band and the clarity of an energetic DJ set. Appearing here for Sasha's Last Night On Earth imprint, they start the EP off in great style with the moody and evocative dancefloor drama of "Rufos" and then get into the nine minute long epic "Final Chords" causing some tunnelling moments with its darkly hypnotic groove assisted by some wonky Life & Death style synth leads. Finally "Man In The Tree" saves the best for last on this Innervisions style serving of hi-tech soul that's sure geared for some life affirming moments on the dancefloor.

The Upside Down - (6:19) 124 BPM Hot
The Upside Down (Darker dub) - (6:18) 124 BPM
Review: Newcastle's Christoph is on a roll right now with releases on a who's who in tech house such as as Circus, Warung and Knee Deep In Sound who presented his brilliant 8 Track LP in 2016. He now appears for Sasha's esteemed Last Night On Earth imprint for some moody and atmospheric progressive house on the Eleven EP. The title track is deep mood lighting for the early evening with its slinky groove, supported wonky synth leads, epic organs and all round head rush inducing aesthetic. "The Upside Down" is more straight ahead and is perfect to lead in to the peak time with its Reese bassline, shimmering arpeggio and dark strings transporting you into the void: all with perfect dancefloor drama in mind. Afterwards, "The Upside Down (Darker Dub)" does exactly what it says in the tin on this fierce version, which distilled down right to its aesthetic and will allow for some sinister moments similar to grooves n Adam Beyer's Truesoul.

Tajmahal - (6:03) 127 BPM
Tajmahal (Budakid remix) - (7:04) 121 BPM
Review: Ireland's Ejeca returns after some killer releases on Aus, Bpitch Control and 2020 Vision with this new one for Sasha's Last Night on Earth entitled Dizorn EP. The title track is a dark and brooding effort which packs in a nasty stomp beneath its seething 'Reese' style hoover leads and wonky synth stabs. "Tajmahal" is a more restrained and atmospheric cut with its sonar bleep techno style melody and minimal rhythms creating a sense of suspense and tension throughout. Netherlands based young gun Budakid also gets onboard to deliver a remix of said track which takes it down a much more progressive house style vibe and with even more elaborate production values: very impressed by this one.

Away (Secondcity remix) - (8:02) 124 BPM
Review: Decompression is one of Vonda7's first releases, but she is already an accomplished producer. Both the title track and "Away" merge elements of dub techno - audible on the power basslines - with purist techno techniques like doubled up claps and eerie synth lines. There is another, quite different side to Vonda7's sound, and this is audible on "Don't Hesitate". There, the mood and melodies are much lighter. There is even an upbeat female vocal running through the arrangement that is in stark contrast to the female sample used on "Away". Secondcity's techy take on "Away" completes a release that covers many of the elements of Sasha's own DJing.

Review: Dance music legend extraordinaire Sasha returns on his own esteemed Last Night On Earth imprint with a hot new track entitled "Rivaldo", a slinky and hypnotic tech house journey with liquid elements and looped vocals supported by a subtle rhythm arrangement: it works really well! Who better to get a remix from than Lebanon's reigning queen of techno Nicole Moudaber, who delivers a whopper rendition that's tunnelling, hypnotic and noisy: perfect to get some hysterical moments on the main room dancefloor. Following up great releases by Marc Romboy and Rufus, this label is totally on fire at the moment!

Review: Systematic Recordings head honcho and Monchengladbach finest Marc Romboy returns with three servings of moody and suspenseful tech house on the Oblique Tendancies EP. The German producer's schedule working to the max as always, and we salute him. Starting out with the slow burning groove of the title track which features one dirty and distorted Reese bassline which needs to be heard to believed! "The Voyager" goes for some smooth and emotive deep house of the more futuristic kind, while "Oblique Tendencies (Part 2)" hammers the message home in style on this beautiful sci-fi ambient odyssey.

Theo Kottis & Wayne Tennant - "Sixth Degree" - (6:35) 123 BPM
Review: Theo Kottis continues to deliver his highly singular strain of deep house delight, except that this time he moves away from Moda Black to land on the excellent Last Night On Earth imprint. "If I Ever Feel Better" is inarguably in the 'deep' end of the house spectrum, but the artist's chords and progressive atmosphere land the tune onto more cinematic plains, something which can also be heard on the expansive voyage that is the tune "Her". "Sixth Degree" features Wayne Tennant on the vocals, the singer adding a deep and sensual wave of lyrics to to Kottis' moody yet radiant collections of sounds. House excursions for the DJ or the non-DJ.

Once Upon A Time
Once Upon A Time - (7:56) 121 BPM
We Are One - (7:12) 121 BPM
Review: Timo Maas is the latest artist to appear on Sasha's label. The title track is sure to surprise those who thought that the amiable German DJ / producer was all about throbbing progressive house. Its rolling rhythm floats and swirls against the backdrop of a fragile, ghostly melody. In common with a lot of Maas' work though it has an infectious, almost commercial edge to it. The same cannot be said about "We Are One". A dense, droning groove littered with interference and found sounds, its lone bleeps cut through the sonic fog like a white strobe light. It's a real 'down the rabbit hole' track from one of prog's great talents.

Review: Berlin tech house favourite Alex Niggemann has managed to remain impressive since emerging on the scene eight years ago and now appears next for Sasha's well received new imprint Last Night On Earth which is really on fire at the moment. First up "Siyawa" is as dark and as tunnelling as it gets for some effective dancefloor mystery of the druggiest kind. But "Ace Kwela" is more uplifting; what with its epic layers of symphonic strings and lush melodics that will push any dancefloor to transcend beyond all this Summer.

Virgo (Fur Coat remix) - (7:37) 123 BPM
Nebula - (7:04) 123 BPM
Review: The latest release on Sasha's label comes from German producer Alex Niggeman. It's interesting to hear how minimal house morphed into deeper sounds and has now reached a point where it is displaying progressive tendencies. This is audible on "Virgo", with Niggeman delivering a big room number, led by dark bass pulses and a pumping rhythm. Fur Coat's version pushes even closer to the progressive house sound, with tough drums and a monotone bass sound making for a more linear version. Finally, there's Niggeman's "Nebula". More tracky than "Virgo", its tough drums and snaking bass will still appeal to fans of hypnotic big room house and techno.

Review: After outings on both Kompakt and Dynamic, among others, the Italian pair that is Hunter Game pop back to Last Night On Earth for a cheeky episode of minimalistic deep house. "Utopia" is straight-laced but nonetheless fiery and militant when played loud and proud, while "Dystopia" enters the wormhole thanks to its full-bodied percussion chops and hypnotic melodies. Last but not least, "Paradigm" goes for a beatless approach, preferring to deliver gorgeous twists of watery ambience instead of club-ready beats.

Ether (Intro mix) - (4:06) 125 BPM
Review: UK progressive house legend Sasha returns from the depths of the underground with a stunning new two-tracker for Last Night On Earth. The original mix of "Ether" is a classic Sasha head-spinner boasting a bumping bassline and some killer atmospherics for total dancefloor domination, while the intro mix deeper, more spaced-out and almost free of any kick. They're both prime and ready for any DJ set, on any floor. Warmly recommended.

Never Dwell On That - (7:34) 126 BPM
The Last One - (6:17) 122 BPM
Review: Set up to shine a light on exciting new producers as well as his solo productions, Sasha's Last Night on Earth label has earned kudos as an emerging underground label. Certainly, the addition of Joel Mull to the roster will do its reputation no harm. On "Pale Reich", a track produced with Sasha, the Swedish producer unleashes wave upon wave of loopy drums before tranced out synths take hold. The rest of the release sees Mull fly solo; "Sending Probe" is a drum-heavy track shot through with dubby hiss and interference, while "Never Dwell On That " takes that sound to its logical conclusion with its heavy drums and razor sharp claps. "The Last One" sees Mull return, albeit in solo mode, to the dreamy tribal sound of "Pale Reich".

Earth Symphony
Earth Symphony - (8:41) 123 BPM
Tarkus - (7:51) 124 BPM
Review: Having spent the last few years delivering atmospheric blends of tech-house and minimal for Steve Bug's Poker Flat imprint, Dusseldorf's Alex Niggeman transfers to Sasha's Last Night on Earth imprint. It's perhaps unsurprising that the prog house veteran has snapped up these two tracks, because they ripple with the eyes-wide-shut feel of prog. Think atmospheric chords, long builds, twinkling melodies and intoxicating atmospherics. Of the two tracks, "Earth Symphony" - a classic prog house title -is probably our pick; it's certainly symphonic in its use of builds and drops. "Tarkus" is a little livelier, with vibrant synths and heady chords dancing around a hypnotic, late night groove.

Liking Your Disorder
Liking Your Disorder - (6:06) 125 BPM
Liking Your Disorder (Timo Maas remix) - (9:21) 123 BPM
Review: Thomas Mathers takes time out from tending to his My Favourite Robot project to deliver more boundary-crossing house music. Listening to Disorder, it's not hard to understand why DJ T and Sasha have teamed up with him. The bass pulses until it reaches Hoover proportions, the percussion is streamlined and glistening and the melodies have that mysterious feeling that are certain to pop up in Digweed or Sasha's sets. It's no wonder then that Timo Maas has been drafted in to provide a remix. The German DJ's version is powered by break beats and he slows the groove down and adds some acid bleeds to create a tripped out affair.

Review: Now here's an interesting package as Sasha's label mark a deep exploration into the realms of dubstep. Naturally, it's unlike other tracks of its ilk as the brother/sister duo take their fractured EP title track into some very strange, trippy pastures. Meanwhile on the remix front John Tejada takes the tune to a more peaktime techno environment with a refreshing and complementary reversion while Kuxxan Sunn highlights the eerie space and subverts it with a creativity that sits somewhere between Four Tet and Burial. Elsewhere on the EP you'll find more of Knox's original material - each of them shimmering with a similar ghostly soul often heard on Trentemoller records.
