1975 EP
1975 - (6:47) 128 BPM Hot
Models - (5:30) 128 BPM
Review: Hands up who loves switch flipping! Well you're in for a treat... "1975" starts off as deep, stripped back groove with a strange spoken word bassline. Then BANG: a full fuel acid bassline bombards the mix, bringing a whole series of trippy additional noises with it. "Models" is equally naughty; rolling with a set of Detroit-inclined synths, it extends into another stomping groove complete with an automated list of models past and present. Unique, heavy and distinctive: this is Mumbai Science at their best.

Mooro EP
M66R6 - (3:48) 125 BPM
No Stoppin' - (5:03) 128 BPM
Drums Ignorance - (4:17) 130 BPM Hot
For Those About To Funk - (3:36) 90 BPM
Review: Zu drummer, Mike Patton collaborator and performer in The Bloody Beetroots' new live show, Mooro gets around a bit. Here we find him making his debut on the well respected Lektroluv imprint and it's something of a pristine party showcase. "M66R6" is like Justice if they became glue sniffers, "No Stoppin'" is a jagged electro dagger, "Drums Ignorance" is full-flavoured techno-tastic lash-out with all the grit, distortion and chaos of a late 70s punk gig. "For Those About To Funk" complete this accomplished debut with psychedelic slow-mo gusto. Fantastic stuff. More Mooro please!

Flow EP
Flow - (5:16) 126 BPM Hot
Envelopes - (5:09) 126 BPM
Motion - (6:34) 124 BPM
Review: Following up his barnstorming debut EP on Bad Life, Attaque serves up three equally romptastic tracks on Lektroluv. Head straight to the EP's title track for some old school realism, which manages to combine elements of both Detroit homage AND UK rave history with an acid line that's not dissimilar to Leftfield. "Envelopes", a head nod to Attaque's previous employment as a postman, is a little more understated with a relentless one-note bass loop that reverbs its way into oblivion. "Motion" finishes the set with yet more retro-sounding bravado. A nifty vocal snippet, a simple-but-deadly riff and a build up that's been pipped to win gold at this year's build up Olympics make this one surefire big room bullet. The good vibes "Flow"...

Willow
Willow - (6:11) 130 BPM Hot
Dust - (5:54) 128 BPM
Played by: Kommander Keen
Review: Teaming up with fellow Belgian Dr Lektroluv to release this new electro banger on the latter's Lektroluv Records, Modek smashes it over the course of these two newies. "Willow" builds with a crunchy, Mumbai Science/Boys Noize-styled acid lead line before smoothly breaking down into a John Carpenter-esque set of doomy choir stabs that get looped into armageddon for a mighty drop. "Dust" keeps things on an equally filthy tip thanks to generous bass distortion and 808 snares, both fused together for an almighty electro stomp. Strong stuff indeed.

Unified Theory Part 1
Researchers - (5:32) 128 BPM Hot
Commandments - (7:00) 120 BPM
Review: Having dropped sophisticated electro bombshells since 2010 that have been welded into the sets of 2manydjs, Tiga, Erol Alkan and Crookers, Belgian duo Mumbai Science return in style with this EP. Part 1 of the release boasts "Researchers" - a typically tight, acid-influenced belter with a touch of Kraftwerk melody and old-school electro drums on the echoey fills. There's also "Commandments", which takes a slightly slower approach but doesn't skimp on the mind-exploding synth pile-ons and huge squelchy drops for a second. Destined to be rinsed hard in the next few months.

Mineral - The Remixes
Diamond (The Loops Of Fury remix) - (5:01) 128 BPM
Opal (TWR72 remix) - (4:46) 128 BPM Hot
Quartz (John Roman remix) - (6:24) 128 BPM
Diamond (Errorism remix) - (4:36) 123 BPM
Diamond (Van Toth remix) - (7:19) 128 BPM
Opal (Wax Motif & Neoteric remix) - (4:49) 126 BPM
Review: After dropping big EPs such as March's "Hurricane" release or their killer mix of ZZT's "Zzafrica" and Proxy's "Vibrate", Belgian electroists Sound of Stereo go under the remix knife themselves on this revisit of their Mineral EP. Of the many highlights, Dutch duo TWR72 (who made a huge splash with this year's "Summer of '91" single) remix "Opal" into a minimal bomb, while Loops of Fury turn in a devilish Tiga-esque remake of the mighty "Diamond". For a much more soulful and stripped down treatment though, definitely check out Errorism's glorious textbook house treatment.

Thunderbad EP
Thunderbad - (4:52) 127 BPM Hot
Eivissa - (4:51) 129 BPM
Drop The Beast - (4:47) 128 BPM
Played by: Angela Fisken
Review: This pair of Dutch electro-tech smashers have had a busy summer touring the world's clubs and festivals, but are officially back off tour with these three huge new tracks for Lektroluv Records. "Thunderbad" is a low down bass monster, guided along with some epic trance chords and rattling 808 snares, while "Eivissa" goes in for a glistening and uplifting electro vibe complete with some piano breakdowns and huge white-noise rises. Keeping the listener firmly on their toes, closing track "Drop The Beast" is a straight-up techno delight, driven along forcefully by a relentless, live-sounding bassline.

The Face Of The Planet (Style Of Eye remix) - (6:32) 128 BPM
The Face Of The Planet (Gtronic remix) - (4:46) 128 BPM

The Face Of The Planet (Ado's Scratch & Snufff mix) - (5:21) 126 BPM
The Face Of The Planet (Parametic remix) - (3:40)
Review: Belgian beatmachine The Subs are getting ready for their album Decontrol with this new single - backed with a raft of great mixes. Sporting an excellent warped-chorus vocal and lots of tech-funk backing, the original is both fun and hard-hitting and could slip into any number of sets. Sweden's Style Of Eye is no novice at adding some demented electro weirdness on his remixes, and once again comes good with a brilliantly twisted take on the original, while Tai slows thing down a little, taking the acid route. Same goes for Ado's two versions: the much-feted remixer of Herve, Tom Starr and Kissy goes truly berserk on a 303 tip with two excellent, already much-talked about remixes that definitely get the nod from us.

Time To Change
Time To Change (part 1) - (5:16) 128 BPM
Time To Change (part 2) - (5:02) 128 BPM Hot
Played by: Angela Fisken
Review: Upcoming Belgian producer Highbloo is clearly a name to watch if his third EP, Time To Change, is anything to go by. Spreading the gonzoid electro goodness over two parts, "Part 1" sees a vicious, Crookers-esque baroque arpeggio laid out over many shifting octaves, hyped-drums and even an incredible, slow tempo-drop midway through. "Part 2" is golden too: a Daft Punk-ish use of a disco sample combined with a vicious rising synth all arranged with devilish, rave-friendly abandon.

Cameltoe EP
Cameltoe - (3:48) 130 BPM
Suck My Lollipop - (4:52) 129 BPM
Cameltoe (Mustard Pimp remix) - (6:01) 132 BPM
Suck My Lollipop (Blatta & Inesha How Many Licks remix) - (5:25) 130 BPM Hot
Review: Belgian electro house wunderkind Gtronic has been casuing a stir having worked with the likes of the Bloody Beetroots, Foamo, Hostage and Mustard Pimp as well as appearing on the ubiquitous Dim Mak imprint. The Cameltoe EP is Gtronic's first appearance on Belgium's premiere label for rave, Lektroluv Records, home to fellow noiseniks like The Subs and Highbloo. The title track is typically demented sounding electro house, full of devilish bass stabs and with the obligatory big drop. The provocatively titled "Suck My Lollipop" is more lysergic fare with an evil buzzsaw synth dominating proceedings. Remix action comes courtesy of Mustard Pimp and Blatta & Ineesha, with the former turning "Cameltoe" into a truly epileptic raver, while the Italian duo deliver a booming fist pumping remix of "Suck My Lollipop".

That's The Shit
That's The Shit - (4:28) 129 BPM
Baguette - (5:04) 127 BPM Hot
Review: A huge double-tracker from Dutchmen Mightyfools that's already got support from Ettienne de Crecy, Larry Tee and Shinichi Osawa amongst others. With some corrosive basslines, enormous electro drums, peak-hour builds and an MC egging you along every step of the way, "That's The Shit" is a big big tune and with the glitched-out rave-steppin' "Baguette" on the flip, this is a single not to be missed.

The Ruckus
The Ruckus - (5:32) 131 BPM Hot
The Ruckus (SonicC remix) - (5:07) 128 BPM
The Ruckus (Highbloo remix) - (6:01) 128 BPM
Review: A brilliant and brutal blast of electro madness from German troublemaker Ampasand, backed up with a pair of equally inspired mixes. Dropping in tight warped hip-hop vocal shots (notably from the Wu-Tang's "Bring Da Ruckus") over heavy Zombie Nation-styled synths, Ampasand works up a truly deadly storm here. Recent Dim Mak signing SonicC, who came out of nowhere last year with the astonishing "Stickin" (played by the likes of Boyz Noize and Erol Alkan) does an audacious mix that's both gothic and grinding, while HighBloo arranges his rework around a hypnotic soca beat and packs in lots of fierce fuzzing synths.
