Review: Guile rides the crest of Buenos Aires' burgeoning musical wave with skill and finesse in his latest release, Joe's Garage. From hip-house bassline gems to tribal-infused sunrise anthems, the Argentinian artist navigates through a spectrum of sounds, sprinkling in touches of acid for good measure. "What We Got" snaps with its old school piano vibe while "Mi Menor" gets snare-heavy alongside the trippy bleep touches in "Faster" furthermore. It's the lead cut though, with its deep synths and undeniable groove, that we're sure will go far in the Berlin clubs, and further into the night.

Review: First released back in 2019 on Gene On Earth's then fiercely vinyl-only label, Limousine Dream, Local Fuzz hits the shops for all you digital diggers. Coming in at a solid nine-tracks large, the album remains a testament to the producer's sound - all cosmic, slightly electro with some tech house, colour and minimal. One for the Berlin dancefloor devotee, the album lands with its playful opener that sounds as if you're about to enter the artist's own hatchback for a test ride around the block. The album then takes us through a slew of mellow melodies, spaced out drums, percussion, dubby basslines and tight grooves. Bionic beats for real.

Sacred Plant - (5:33) 130 BPM
Review: Fantasy Value by Cooper James Fraser aka Reflex Blue is a four-track retro house journey, which marks his debut on Berlin-based imprint Limousine Dream. This one will surely transport you to a different dimension. Opening cut "Operation Frost" takes the very best of classic house motifs, while the acid-infused hypnotiser "Invalid Code" ventures deeper into the late night, and the tripped-out minimal tech house of the title track ushers you onto the afterhours. Finally "Sacred Plant" heads back to the main room on this psychedelic party starter.

Review: Duowe & Picasso inhabit the space between deep house and techno, but they have still managed to carve out their own niche. This is audible on A Trip To Marsh, where the tracks sound like a contemporary take on the type of late 90s/early 00 tech-house that appeared on Swag's labels. While that term may have since become devalued, the aesthetics that set the original, authentic sound apart make a welcome appearance here. Tripped out tones and a time-stretched bass unravel over rolling drums on "Body Glitch". Meanwhile, the duo opts for a deeper variant of this sound on "HAL9000" - replete with out samples from 2001: A Space Odyssey. "Trip Hazard" is a wonderfully woozy break beat-led affair, while that connection to original tech-house continues courtesy of the walking bass and jazzy chords of "Everloop"

Review: Originally released on vinyl back in 2017, Lazybones was the debut release by Gene On Earth, head of operations over at Limousine Dream, which finally gets a much deserved release on digital. From the dreamy minimal house jam "Pulse Mode" or the wacky ambient interlude of "It's A Good Day To Have A Good Day" to the sublime dub house excursion of "Nelly's Jelly" and the swingin' 2-step attitude of "The Valley Of Lost Things" - Gene On Earth has transitioned from a once monochrome existence and now found himself submerged in a vivid technicolour dream world.

Review: Bristolian modular wizard, gardening enthusiast and Noods Radio host Henry James aka Boulderhead serves up three summer themed high-end club tools that make for the essential shopping list - Bread, Butter, Noodles, Spice. There's tough rolling boompty techno on the title track, classic dance music motifs receive a modern reshape on "Moonstone Energy System", heading to the afterhours on the moody tech house of "Ultra" and finally jump aboard the acid express on the trippy groove of "Framework".

Review: Rudolf C is a producer from Australia now based in Berlin, who is co-founder of Salt Mines Records and has released previously on Craigie Knowes, X-Kalay and Sensu. His latest comes courtesy of Gene On Earth's ever reliable Limousine Dream titled Totally Refracted, featuring four groovy and retro-minded cuts. Roll deep with the deep sonar transmissions of "504 Open Space", reach a higher state of consciousness on the broken beat 'n'bleeps of the title track and some old school techno sounds of yesteryear are provided for on "Mind User".

Review: The second release from Gene On Earth's Limousine Dream comes from French producer Sweely, who has made a name for himself with some swing-fuelled grooves on Mulen, Automatic Writing and Brawther's Negentropy in recent times. There's classic house tropes aplenty on the infectious opening cut 'Re-center Yourself' followed by the spaced-out boompty
bounce of 'ChatBoulette'. Elsewhere, the title track is perfect minimal house for getting weird at the afterhours, followed by the trippy 303 cut 'Don't Push It Too Far' which will shuffle you aboard the acid express in no time.

Review: After spending time 'marooned' in South America at the start of the pandemic, Gene on Earth finally made it back to Europe only to enter another lengthy lockdown. Like many other producers, the Berlin-based Californian used the time productively, spending five months creating and finalising his second album, Time on the Vine. The resultant nine-track set is pleasingly polished, subtly eclectic and hugely entertaining, with the Limousine Dream chief confidently strutting between deep, woozy, warming electro ('Snooze Operator'), eyes-closed Beatdown bliss ('The City Special'), jaunty and sub-heavy deep house ('Time Optimist'), melodious and driving peak-time fare ('Pinseeker'), hallucinatory slow jams ('Studio Dobra'), turn-of-the-90s UK techno with a twist (the early Warp-influenced 'To Bleep or Not To Bleep'), retro-futurist breaks ('Chuggy Elements) and much more besides.
