Review: Berlin pair The Transhumans are a natural fit for Bas Mooy's label. Like the Dutch producer, they are adept at crafting tough, peak-time techno and Beast Like State is crafted from granite-hard beats and jarring industrial riffs. The most intense iterations of this sound occur on the title track and "Misanthropy", visceral, primal club tracks with little else than rhythm and drums. "Outcast" and "Blackout" meanwhile, see them add some pulsing 303s to their grubby, percussive sound, while closing track descends into chaos. The track's splintered drums, gnarled percussion and heavy, broken beats create an atmosphere that's more forbidding than everything else that has gone before it.
