Review: Neumonic has arrived on Nawty Morii in fine form for this latest collection, exploring the more stripped back end of the garage scene with some truly original ideas. Opening up, we explore the ethereal backdrops and minimised drum skips of 'Makes Me', next to the catchy vocal singalongs of 'Nawty' alongside Sakawah Boys. The high octane feelings continue to flourish as we stride forward with 'Wicked' then giving us a super elusive roller, before the grizzly reese textures and more experimental percussive backdrops of 'Reborn' then round us off for a fiery closer. Top work all around.
Review: ENiGMA Dubz has become a force that cannot be stopped, with his releases hitting every corner of the bass music spectrum over the last 18 months. This time he arrives on Morii to deliver the work of others as he unveils four exclusive remixes across his 'Vibes' EP. First up, Mystic State get to work delivering an emotional knock out in their overhaul of 'We Can Go', followed by the unusual bass pops and smoothened sub taps of ATYYA's 'Twilight' rethink. Next, Cortese deliver a typically euphoric refunk of 'Walk Away', packed to the seams with stunning vocal processing, before the liquified approaches of Abstrakt Sonance see 'I Still Think Of You' rebuilt into a sensory overloading finale, closing off the EP with some real finesse.
Review: Introducing the latest addition to the mixtape series, #Vibes, where the artist at hand, ENiGMA Dubz, delves into the emotional depths of their creative process. With a passion for crafting music that resonates on a soulful level, ENiGMA Dubz offers listeners a deeper journey through seven tracks and edits. From future garage to breakbeat, electronica to trap, and melodic dubstep, each composition invites listeners to immerse themselves in a melodic bass experience. As the follow-up to #Heaters - #Vibes marks an important step in the ENiGMA Dubz musical evolution, showcasing the act's ability to navigate a sound that moves between tearing up sound systems with intense beats to revealing a more emotive production quality. Hashtag: Vibes.
Review: Next up from the incredible ENiGMA Dubz, one final outing before the Christmas cut off as he joins forces with four of dubstep's finest troopers for the '#Heaters VIPs', giving some feisty original collaborations a 2023 touch up. First up, MYTHM takes centre stage on the 'No Fear' VIP mix, giving it an even more gnarly overwash, before ENiGMA steps out on remix duty himself, giving the thunderous subs and digitised fx of 'You Trippin' from himself and Bommer a tasty overhaul. Next, Gnasha lands on VIP duty for 'Earthworm, delivering syncopated drum pops and hard hitting bass crunches, before Wraz unloads one final weighty blow on the 'Dune Buggy' rethink, focussing heavily on earth-shattering synths and steadily evolving LFO runs. Awesome work from all involved!
Review: It is always a pleasure to see ENiGMA Dubz back in action, being a veteran of more genres than most people have had hot dinners. He lands here with the first of his new 'Mixtape' series on Morii, welcoming a wealth of guests to table as he explores dubstep and 140 heat with a sizzling feeling. The guests for this edition feature the likes of Virus Syndicate, Nika D, Snowy, Bommer, Hypho, PAV4N and more, all contributing killer combinations to deliver an incredibly vibrant showcasing of ENiGMA's seemingly endless production palette. For us, there are three immediate standouts, with the earth shattering subs of Gnasha's guest appearance on 'Earthworm', the scuttling sub tweaks of 'Dune Buggy' with Wraz and MYTHM's weighty appearance on the bone chilling 'No Fear' all delivering significant punches.
Review: Over the many years of ENiGMA Dubz awesome career, we have seen him sweep into so many different areas of electronic music, with this brand new album being a culmination of all of those styles, showcasing his production mastery in serious style. From the grizzly LFO and euphoric synth lines of the dubstep-inspired 'Replicants' to the heavenly vocal displays and jungle-inspired drumlines of 'Afterlife', he really does cover all bases in this outstanding display. It's a truly outstanding collection, with our highlights including the beautiful harmonic layers and garage-style rhythms of 'Enlightenment', next to the shuffling trap-like arrangements of 'Lost Souls' and the downright tearout vibes of 'Bump In The Night', which fits right onto any Rampage tracklisting. An incredible body of work to say the least.
