Review: Icelandic electronic producer Soley makes a comeback on Germany's Morr Music, this time with the help of a masterfully executed LP which manages to reach all corners of the enlarged IDM domain. In fact, very little of Endless Summer is strictly electronic, and most of its best moments are best described as nu-folk, whipping up a lovely sense of nostalgia through dissolving vocals and evocative harmonic crescendos. What feels like an album for the more pensive listeners out there, Soley's music is actually very much accessible to all sorts of music heads, and its subtle euphoric glow is just what we needed to bring in some fresh air into the mix. Recommended.
