Review: Berlin tech house hero David Keno returns for local imprint Mother Recordings, who have brought us some great releases of late by the likes of Mat.Joe, Superlover and Kevin Knapp. Here are two finely tuned grooves on the Youth EP. Starting off with the funky and lo-slung house groove of "Play" which is perfect to the set the crowd off just before the peak time at Kater Holzig or Ritter Butzke. Next up is of course the woozy and rolling tech house of the title track, with its throbbing basslineheadrush, druggy vocals and hypnotic synth stabs; it ticks all the right boxes if you ask us and is just perfect to mess with minds at the afterhour shift!

Review: New Zealand's Dilby is fast making a big name for himself in Berlin and his productions are really getting some recognition too, following up some great releases on Bondage Music and Keno to name but a few. His latest single "Leap Of Faith" appears for local imprint Mother Recordings and it is an anthemic, party starting vocal funky house missile of the hands in the air variety. Second offering "Hubba Hideout" gets a bit deeper and definitely darker on this atmospheric tribal house workout that's a throwback to the early noughties sounds of New York City.

Review: Following up hot releases by label boss from New Zealand Dilby, plus label staples Mat.Joe and Robosonic, Berlin's Mother Recordings are back with Italian duo Giacomo Godi and Emiliano Nencioni - better known as Supernova. They debut their first release on the label with an awesome two track EP entitled The Joy. Featuring the tough and bumping funky house energy of the title track (complete with mandatory diva vocals) and followed up by the powerfully looped up disco inferno of "Reflections" which channels that classic French Touch vibe immaculately.
