Review: For their sixth instalment, the Bad Klosterlausnitz based Muna Musik return with their biggest lineup yet boasting the current creme de la creme of house music from their own soil and beyond. Right heroes on here, such as Beste Modus boss Cinthie with the bumpin' classic house journey "Hurt Me", Frankfurt Rhein-Main legend Christian Burkhardt is also on top form with the trippy, latin infused minimal house of "Hola". For something dead set on the main room at peak time, Spanish scene hero Hector Couto has you covered with his new school antics. The tough rolling groove of "Ciroco" really satisfies, as does the deep melodic tech house of Luca Donzelli's "Not Ordinary".

Review: Muna is one of Germany's longest-running clubs, and only in recent years did it set up a label arm. This explains why it has attracted talent like Cassy and Timo Maas for previous releases and why this sixth instalment features a rare track from Tobi Neumann. The veteran DJ's "All The Soldiers" is a pumping, pulsating affair that marries Detroit depth with a tight electronic groove. The release also features Poker Flat boss Steve Bug in fine form with the grinding, acid-tinged "Where's The Clap" and a typically deep, swirling groove from Jacob Korn courtesy of the percussive "Mindfulness". It's not all big names though, and the release also features a tripped out vocal house tune from Magit Cacoon.

Review: Located in a forest outside Jena, Muna is one of the longest-established clubs in Germany, and is approaching a quarter of a century in business. Its label arm is much younger, but is doing a fine job in representing the Muna sound to the wider house music community. Cassy's "Running" is a rolling, bass-heavy track, featuring melodramatic vocals and rasping percussion. By contrast, Andre Butano & Aldo Cadiz' "Consommer" is more full on, with doubled-up beats and a groovy, rolling rhythm supporting druggy vocals. Shifting styles again, David Mayer, the Keinemusik founder, delivers "Moonlock", a pulsating, electronic groove, while Alejandro Mosso closes out this soundtrack to one of Europe's most revered clubs with the quirky deep house of "Rayuela".

Review: Muna Musik has been successful by offering EPs (and one double-CD compilation) that gather together high quality tracks from a variety of artists. This fourth label missive retains this approach, offering up no less than six solid club cuts. DOP serves up two mixes of the deliciously wonky and off-kilter late night house work out "Be The Beat" (one containing some quirky, soul-flecked vocals, and the other without), while Ezekiel impresses with the skewed, bass heavy tech-house/deep-house/hip-house fusion of "Save The Children". German veteran Timo Mass drops the throbbing, bass-heavy pulse of big room chugger "Heaven Is Hell", before Romano Alfieri delivers two EP highlights. There's the strutting, bassline-driven disco-house funk of "Everybody Loves Fonzi", and the warehouse-friendly stomp of "Mission to Juno".
