Review: It's been a long time coming, but after a long run of exciting single drop, Night Bass founder and all around dance music legend: AC Slater lands on his home imprint for a brand new album project. The project features the previously released single 'Final Fantasy' but as a club mix alongside a bag of incredible collaborative additions, including Dread MC, Jay Robinson, Chris Lorenzo, Murkage Dave, Taiki Nulight and more. With twelve tracks of the highest quality, AC has really set the bar super high, with particular highlights including the high energy collaboration with Jack Beats, Sinden and Flowdan entitled 'Boss Like That', along with the tasty house tones of 'Feeling Awake'.

Review: Within the UK Bass scene, there are few who can be held in higher acclaim that Brighton's own Taiki Nulight, who has been at the forefront of bass music for pretty much the entirety of the scene's modern existence. This album showcases everything that the man is about, from the UKG inspired flavours of the title track 'Murky Manor', to the more futuristic and experimental stylings of 'Iconic', alongside Dread MC. Other highlights include the circular percussive movements of the 'The Business', the tearout tones of 'Primal' and of course the three high profile collaborations alongside fellow bass heavyweights: AC Slater, Chris Lorenzo and Cause & Affect.
Review: What a crazy trip it's been for AC Slater. Having bubbled away in all kinds of genres from hardcore to electro in the 2000s, having set up Night Bass just two years ago, he's created a distinctive and hugely successful sound that's so distinctive it's often described as the Night Bass sound. With his debut album Outsiders he galvanises and develops the sound even more as he ranges from the classic bass burping UK influenced jackers we know and love him for ("Ring The Alarm", All About The Paper", "Dope Slinger") to a much more soulful, sensual palette and flexes his deeper side ("Take Off", "Come Back") With splashes of UK garage ("Another You") and total alien grit ("Jaws"), this is the Night Bass bossman really digging into his own sound, his own crew and his movement.

Review: The guys at Nightbass have had truly sensational year, with top quality releases flowing out of the camp left, right and centre. As a label, AC Slater's outfit has developed into one of the most forward thinking projects currently rolling out across the bass music expanse and this compilation showcases just how far they have moved forward. The tracklisting contains a monstrous host, featuring the likes of Flava D, Shift K3y, Jack Beats, Cause & Affect and many more heavy hitters. For us the immediate standouts have to come from Jay Robinson firstly, who's acidic roller 'The Return' hits home heavily, alongside Phlegmatic Dogs, who's classic 'Cuatrocats' adds major weight to the selection. Awesome stuff and a top quality signout.
Review: The Night Bass crew promised an 'epic selection of new tracks...a colorful mix of styles' for the second installment of their This Is Night Bass series, and they haven't let us down. The nine sizzlers included here really do capture a snapshot of here the bass scene is currently at. Highlights include the doomy house of "Bodyback", the raw techy disco of Sinden & Bot's "Grit Manis" and the brooding jacker "Shotgun" by Landis & LaPace.
Review: Boy, it's their instalment of the This Is Night Bass series and, as always, it's a tight and severely jam-packed bag of pure bass-ridden quality. The rhythm carrying the best part of the release is one that locks into 4/4 mode, but the melodies, low frequencies and vocals contain something seriously UK about them. In fact, if you're looking for purist British house music with a garage flavour then you'v hit the right spot; it's as if these guys have tele transported back to 2000/2001, when the roots of dubstep were being laid-down from the foundations of garage and bassline. YES.
Review: The team behind the Nightbass movement continue their incredible journey through 2018 here with yet another solid compilation, really pushing the Night Bass sound right through to the year's end. This project is made up on 9 original records, including top draw creations from the likes of AC Slater, Bijou, Cause & Affect, Taiki Nulight, Bassboy and more, making up a spectacular line up to say the least. For us the instant highlights on this one have to include 'The Freq' from 219 Boys and 'Church (feat Dances with White Girls)' from Sinden & Petey Clicks, both of which encapsulate the darkened futuristic bass stylings of Night Bass perfectly!
Review: AC Slater's Los Angeles-based Night Bass label has been turning the US on its head what with all the real UK bass flavours they've been serving up. They've now made it to the fourth instalment of the mighty This Is Night Bass series, and once again it's sizzling with energy. There are eight tracks this time including the heavy stomp of Aussie Yolanda Be Cool & Wongo's "Roosevelt", Sinden's gloriously dark "God" and the deep jackin' grooves of Bijou's "Cant' See Us". Night Bass then, bringing quality to the masses.
Review: LA's Night Bass imprint is contributing significantly to the US' newfound love for dance music that takes low frequencies to new extremes. As such, the label have opted to launch the fifth instalment of the This Is Night Bass series and, as you'd expect there's all sorts of bangers ready-made for dancehall gun-slinging in here! Tagged as bass doesn't do it justice though; Volac's opening "Wait A Minute" is basically a house tune that meets Drake-like r&b vocals, with the same going for Bijou's and Sinden's own 4/4, bass-filtered killers. Petey Click's "U NO I" takes the electro house framework to new and bruising levels, whereas Astronomar manages to strip it back down to tech-house territories on "100 MPH". Jay Robsinson, Dillon Nathanie and the 219 Boys are all the same wave-length, which is impressive given the fact that each one of these artists caters to a particularly niche shade of nu-school house. SUMMER ANTHEMS ABOUND.
Review: The phenomenon that is AC Slater's Night Bass: a label, a party, a collective of like-minded spirits, a movement... In the space of a few years, they've dominated the low end game on a global scale. Their debut remix collection is another bedpost notch as they take each other's favourite tracks and versionise the dickens out of one another. Highlights include Phlegmatic Dogs' warped bass, slo-mo break-charged twist of "Gonna Be Mine", Petey Clicks jack-happy slapper take on "Nose Powder" and Landis LaPace's technoid shake up of "Guttural". File under heavyweight.
Review: It has to be said that the combining of the terms 'night' and 'bass' does create an extra heady image of nefarious nocturnal shenanigans. Night Bass is a Los Angeles party, the popularity of which proves that America, currently in the early throes of EDM mania, is starting to look deeper for their dancefloor kicks. This compilation, featuring both new and established talent, captures their scene perfectly - highlights including the atmospheric tech-house meets bassline joint "Wild Fire" by Jack Beats, the sparse clickety-clack heavy bass house of "Gloom" by Jay Robinson and Taiki Nulight's staccato hip-house-step bouncer "Checking Out Time".
Review: There aren't many labels operating within the spheres of bass music that are able to keep pace with the freight train that is Night Bass, who seem to be dropping a top draw release every three weeks at least. This latest project sees them compile the second edition of 'Night Bass Remixed', featuring some heavyweight recreations from the likes of APEXAPE, 219 Boys, Proxy and a bag more high profile names. For us, the immediate stand outs on this one have to come from Codes & Stranger who rework the magnificent 'Big Riddim' featuring Jamakabi, along with Taiki Nulight's powerful overhaul of the classic 'Keepmastik' from Phlegmatic Dogs.
Review: If there is one thing that the legendary imprint known as Night Bass is able to do time and time again, it's step up to the occasion as they here bring together a fantastic 7 track compilation project, showcasing the best of their new school roster additions. This release showcases such a fantastic array of styles, from the crunchy drum switches of 'French Prince' from Movenchy, the rolling percussive stutters of 'Killers' from NuKid and Jordan Burns to Gerry Gonza's deeper 'Make My Eyes Roll Back' alongside Bekah. We also hear fantastic contributions from the likes of Kendoll with an electronic powerhouse entitled 'Denial', along with heaters from Shdws, MNNR, Tombz, Hotel Garuda and Julius Jetson, making this one a must have for bass fans worldwide.
Review: Night Bass are wasting absolutely no time this year, as they here bring forward the second edition of their 'Night Bass Freshmen' series, showcasing the new, up and coming artists that are going to be working with the Night Bass imprint in the future. We see six originals make the tracklisting for this one, with artists such as SQWAD, Qlank, SODF and Double Agent all providing us with absolute heaters. For us however, the clear highlights for this project have to include the tech infused brilliance of 'Bad Blood' from Hot Goods, and of course Sammy Legs' super bouncy roller in 'Hi-Def'.

Review: The rampage of the Night Bass collective shows no sign of slowing any time soon as they roll out another top draw compilation, this one consisting of six heaters under the name of 'Summer Phrases 2018'. Taiki Nulight and Hadean kick off proceedings with their tearout roller in 'No Attention', with 219 Boys following up on some sublow flavours in 'Hooked Up'. Codes then provides some techy tastings on 'Brand New Drop' before Bijou teams up with Davonyea Marcel for the experimental stylings of 'On Read'. Sinden & Dillon Nathaniel finish up the EP in style with their explosive outings on 'Swervin In A Lex' and 'Can't See Me'. Another top draw outing for the Night Bass camp.
Review: ooohhh - the calculating Night Bass imprint returns to some quick fire action thanks to this naughty VA comp - and the results are as impressive as they are, well, booty-shaking. There's a whole line of stars in the making here, with peeps like AC Slater, Phlegmatic Dogs and Petey Clicks all offering their various new strains of high-grade bass mutations. In fact, much like the label's wider catalogue, these future-minded bangers are a mixed race fo sorts; from speedy garage to teched-out house and dubstep, there's something in here for all lovers of the UK ting. Yes, yes!
Review: Anglophile US producer Petey Clicks has made a name for himself with his impressively authentic take on underground UK bass sounds. He does so with his own unique twist of course, and this can be heard throughout. "Trash" starts things in a lairy mood with speedy 2-step beats, nasty bass and raw vocals. From there "If Ya" slams some raw tribal house into the mix, "Like Body" is lean muscular 4x4 and "The One" is a diva-garage anthem in the making.
Review: For those in the know on the bassline scene, Welsh DJ Jay Robinson has been a hot name to watch for a while now. Always fine-tuning his brand of doomy bass heavy house, his latest single, 1987 has already picked up support from the likes of My Nu Leng, Shadow Child, Toddla T and Herve. "Carnage" and "Guttural" kick things off with vintage samples and bouncy bass, "Throwback" is all about the epic breakdowns, the deep and nasty "Shutdown" is an EP highlight and "The End" fuses dubstep and hip-hop to devastating effect
Review: Next up, the Night Bass reign continues to pour, dispersing wavy music left right and centre as the founder himself returns home for a fantastic new garage single by the name of 'Final Fantasy'. This one is an instant hit, as Kaleena Zanders gets busy with some incredibly catchy vocal lines over some smooth, silky 4x4 flavours from AC Slater, making for the perfect combo. This single also comes complete with a bag of fantastic remixes, with Jay Robinson turning the original into a bouncy party piece, Steady Rock providing some nostalgic house flavours and Turno bringing forward a wicked drums interpretation, packed with catchy synth leads and lively rhythms!
Review: The Nightbass rampage continues to roam into new territory here as they get busy with a super experimental collaboration. Primarily known for his catchy 140 grime flows, Capo Lee joins the party with a potent vocal appearance alongside messers Sinden and Lo'99 on 'Natural High'. This one is set to cause major damage in the dances as Capo's smooth vocal presence sits perfectly atop stripped back drum designs and potent sub pressure. This one comes complete with two remixes, with Proxy sending the original to the distortion choppin block and Bijou reworking the track into a super techy roller. Great stuff again from the Nightbass camp.
Review: The Night Bass train continues to roll out furiously as they employ the services of five brand new faces across their brand new compilation 'Night Bass Freshmen'. Being one of the most popular bass labels in the UK, the standard is set very high and everyone steps up to the mark, kicking off with Blossom's vibrant 4x4 belter 'Go'. We then move into Nukid's highly experimental electro balad in 'Front2Back' before landing on the techy bass rolls of 'The Burbs' from Jordan Burns. Next up, Kendoll with his slightly acidic stomper in 'Stop Calling Me' before we round of the EP with some minimalist UK Bass from the rapidly rising duo of Nubass & Deppz.
Review: Flinging double negatives like a clown hurls custard pies, AC Slater builds on Night Bass's generous debut release with his second full-fat EP of the year. With a sound and attitude that's been cemented into the bass scene psyche for a decade, you know what to expect from him: BS-free floor-fire with added humour... And that's exactly what we get. "The Chirp" is a Dirtybird-level jacker, "Skywalker OG" taps deeper into the classic house roots with an air of late 90s Van Helden, "Waterverb" flips the trap bird before dropping into some seriously silky 4/4 wobble while "Not No Love Song" vibes with classic rave synths and a speed garage style drop that's not, not, amazing.
Review: Two of the most prominent faces on the Night Bass roster, Petey Clicks and former fidget house man, Sinden, have teamed up to deliver two punishing (in a good way) bangers. The title track gives a little UK 4x4 twist to a classic underground US house sound, whilst "Heartbeat" goes all out for the retro approach, with old skool organ stabs and wailing pitched-up diva vocals. Label boss AC Slater then delivers an utterly mesmerising electro-bass rejig of the title track and Hotfire injects some serious bottom end into their version of "Heartbeat". Ace sounds!
Review: Originally a pioneer of fidget house with Herve and Switch, Graeme Sinden recently relocated to Los Angeles to regain his mojo. However, despite the ubiquitous EDM that surrounds him there, his sound still stays true to the good old UK. Here on the Crystal Maze EP he presents four sizzling new cuts - the dubby garage of the title track, the bouncey hip-house of "Southern Rhythm", the trippy bleeps of booty joint "To The Ground" and the badass wobble attack "To The Ground".
Review: Californian duo Kairos (aka Eric Yandall and Sascha Nowlin) are literally smokin' right now with their unique take on bass music burning up dancefloors left, right and centre. Following on from fellow American producer Petey Clicks, they too release an EP on the ever-savvy Night Bass. "Hotfire" features four tracks that draw on a wide range of influences, including UK garage and wobble on "I Need You", party breaks on "Pivotal" and even good old fidget house on "Yesterday".
Review: The Night Bass party continues to rock out here as we introduce their latest project, seeing Hotfire drive himself into the limelight across four techy bass bangers. The title track 'Do Or Die' is a bouncy, 808 driven crunch, with vocal slices providing quirky rhythmic movement throughout. Following this, the darkened sub tones and shimmering drum work of 'Dangerous' step into the field, with the minimal jackin' production themes of 'Criminal' not far behind. The finishing move comes via 'Relax', a smooth, moody roller, brought to life by its bright drum movement and vocal inputs.

Review: Long term Night Bass flag flyer Taiki Nulight returns to the ever-impressive imprint with his long awaited Broken Ribs' EP, which is stuffed to the brim with bass heavy goodies. We begin with the title track which is a dancefloor weapon, from the high intensity build ups of the intro to the incredibly unique synth design of the breakdown. Next we move into the more stripped back 4/4 arrangements of 'U Know' before landing on the highly anticipated sub heavy collaboration with Inkline entitled 'Cynic'. Finally the EP rounds up with it's second collaboration, this time with Stranger, as the pair pull together a selection of weird and wonderful synth sounds and skippy drum patterns resulting in a high energy banger.
Review: Rising Welsh DJ/producer Jay Robinson has made himself right at home with the Night Bass label, here presenting his third EP for the imprint. If ain't broke and all that. There are four turbo charged bass pounders packed on to this release, starting with the bad man bounce of opener "Fury". Next is the creepy, bleepy shuffle of "The Model", before he gets his wobble out on the skippy "Red Dot". Lastly he wraps things up with the UKG-informed "The Start", which is actually the end, but Robinson never plays by the rules.
Review: The Night Bass crew just keep on throwing out KO punches. Hot on the heels of the label boss AC Slater's debut album Outsiders and the killer V/A "Summer Phases" EP comes this rampant four-tracker from UK machine twister Taiki Nulight. It's some of his deadliest material, too; "Dead End" is drunken wobbler where the bass leads you down some very dark pathways, "Horn Porn" (a collabo with the ubiquitous Lorenzo) is a high frequency flexing soul-shaker with a series of system-slapping drums while "Everybody In The Club" (with Mikey B) adds a little off-beat ruffage with a seriously aggy hornets-nest bassline. "Trippin' Up" closes the show with one of Taiki's heaviest designs to date. Broken, groaning, gnarly and metallic, Taiki's taking no prisoners today mate.
Review: The first edition of AC Slater's 'Outsiders Remixed' release was met with a fantastic response from fans and DJ's across the globe. We were super excited therefore to see the second edition hit the shelves in such quick pursuit. This time we see Phlegmatic Dogs get their teeth stuck into 'Jaws' for a punchy rework, Kastle pull together a futuristic garage recreation of 'Come Back' and JackBeats step up for a fidgety overhaul of 'Another You'. The EP is then rounded off in style with Taiki Nulight's gritty 4x4 redesign of 'All About Paper'. Night Bass have done it yet again it seems!
Review: As we kick start what is set to be an absolutely phenomenal year for bass music, we get stuck into the first offering of 2019 from Night Bass, who were without a doubt one of the stand out outfits within the music community last year. They bring forward Corrupt for four tracks of pure bass wizardry, with the title track 'It's Not Ok' being a sweeping swampy scorcher, followed by the the more electronic pressures of 'Keep It Coming'. Next up we dive head first into the angry synthesis and drum crunches of 'All The Massive', before rounding off with a punch in the circular bass tones of 'The Loot'. If this is how they are starting the year, it's set to be a very exciting 2019 for the Night Bass team.
Review: Previously spotted on Night Bass compilations, Bijou makes his EP debut on the label with the dark and dank "G-Code", a firing quartet of big boy bass antics. The title track digs deep into our inner gangster with its pushed jacking groove and catchy sample, "1000 Bitches" lets the dogs out with a barking mad groaner that's laced with some really trippy FX and twisted trap vox, "Get Up" takes more of a house route that switches up with a classic breakbeat breakdown. Finally we hit the "Afterparty" where Bijou condones some seriously mischievous behaviour over a mean snake-like riddim. This hits the g-spot alright.
Review: One of the most prolific and consistent basssmiths in the house/tech/broken beat axis, Robinson continues to raise the profile with four more mischief-making collaborations; Pelikann joins in for a little Python rattling on the twisted bass throw-down "Gettuh", NIQW and Ami Carmine collide with Jay for a little dirty soul shaking on "Right Back" while GAWP is onside for the a sweet strutting house groove that's tickled with a riff that's reminiscent of mid 2000s Get Physical material. Finally we have the epic stripped back jacker "Oblivious" with Vanilla Ace that drops into an immense hood-heaving mid-section and cowbell popping groove. Jay: 1 / World: 0 It's a knockout.

He makes his return to the homeworld with this brand new four tracker entitled 'Outsiders Remixed Pt 1', where we see the Night Bass collective rework classic tracks from AC's 'Outsiders' album.
To start off Sinden gets to work with a vibrant fidgety refurbishment of 'Misfit', originally featuring PVC and Herve. Next up Jay Robinson gets to work shuffling up 'Taking Off' and Riddim Commision gets busy with Jamakabi's intense vocal performance on 'Big Riddim'. Finally we are treated to Petey Clicks putting together his emotive recreation of 'Dealer' featuring credits from Tchami and Rome Fortune.
Review: It's quite difficult in today's bass scene to see Bassboy's name and not get excited, whether it be for one of his super entertaining Instagram track builds or a new EP such as this. He teams up with the legendary Night Bass imprint for a sizzling four track selection, kicking off with the gritty LFO rolls of the title track 'Hollywood', which is chased up the super colourful UKG struts of 'So Good'. Following this, 'Sweet 'n' Sour' switches the EP back onto a more gritty pass with his hardened bass synths running riot, before the moogy plucks of 'Vibesy' finish everything up with a serious dash of spice.
Review: LA based imprint: Night Bass have been one of the most impressive labels within dance music over the last couple of years, and that trend continues with their latest EP project alongside Petey Clicks. This four-track project kicks off with the title track 'Club Heads', which is a ball of super electronic sounding synth instrumentation with sharp 4x4 drums below. We here see him touch down on the legendary Night Bass imprint across four absolute heaters, including the unique synth riffs of the title track 'Fuego'. This is followed by the pounding dancefloor flavours within 'Trippin', before a weighty collaboration with Hot Goods rolls into place by the name of 'Dead Prez'. Finally, Purple Velvet Curtains joins the party with yet another smashing vocal introduction, as the futuristic techy tones of 'Dusk' wade into view.
Review: For Brighton producer Taiki Nulight, he couldn't be more excited to release on Los Angeles-based Night Bass. This is a culmination of years of DJing and collaborating. His last LP Murky Manor was the soundscape of his life to date, claiming it was so important for him as an artist to do a full album - one that showcased the full depth and breadth of his sound. The themes continue on the Soundwave EP. The moody bounce of the title track and its druggy vocals, the intoxicating late night shuffle of "Lil Mama" and crossing over into minimal tech house on the tunneling "Turn It Up" - this one is fierce!
