Nippes Home Productions

Nippes Home Productions is a Cologne-based label and the idea is going back to the year 1997. The first releases, starting 1997, were four Hip Hop/Dancehall/Breakdance mixtapes by DJ I.R.S. ONE. In the years 2002 and 2003 the Hip Hop two-team Shadow Birds (Harry Kane&DJ I.R.S. ONE) released two Hip Hop albums 'Moods' and 'Innerer Krieg fur ewigen Frieden'. The distribution was limited to the local Hip Hop stores at the time.
After a long pause of five years Nippes Home Produtions was revitalised and re-started in a collaboration with Bassprasidium Records, also from Cologne. The first release in this constellation 2008 was a vinyl 12“ by Dexter Dub featuring the tracks 'Behold' and 'Dub Mi Ya Choppa'. Both are classic Jungle tunes with underlying Reaggae vibes.
The vinyl was followed by two albums by Dexter Dub on CD. 2010 he released his first longplayer 'Dexters Dub Dimension' and 2012 came the second album 'Earritation'. 'Dexters Dub Dimension' had a very broad range of musical styles and went from Dub across Big Beat and Dubstep to Jungle. It was meant to give an outline of what was to be expected in his later productions. 'Earritation' was clearly dedicated to Dubstep.
In 2012 and with Dexter Dubs second album Nippes Home Productions became independent again and is since this time distributing only digitally using the distribution services of Feiyr.
The key artists are Dexter Dub, Earth-Field and F. Botze. The main genres of Nippes Home Productions are Dub (in a digital interpretation), Jungle (mainly clasic Jungle sounds or Ragga-Jungle styles), Dubstep (mostly with a strong affinity to Jamaican music) electronic music between Electro, House or Big Beat and Experimantal Electronic approaches working with noises or other recorded unharmonic structures.
Key releases for Nippes Home Productions are Dexter Dubs albums 'Collaboration Collection-The Album' summing up his works with Pelican and his album 'Dubbylon Soldier'. Earth-Fields key release is surely his first album 'Grown', where he presents his very own style using mostly recorded musical and non-musical fragments.
Nippes Home Productions is an open label featuring different styles of music and will always search for artists crossing boarders, melting genres together or just create deep emotions.
